In this video, Scott outs himself as never having had spicy mustard.

One thing as well, with the Teal Mask, the aforementioned Mask was a major item in the expansion, being the item needed to get Ogerpon who was important to the plot. Meanwhile the Indigo Disk was just an old DVD-R Geeta found that happens to be useful at some point one time and then is never mentioned again.

Using Ogerpon against Kiki in the final fight to be the BB champ is hilarious. He straight up says, " You've got some nerve... Bringing out the ogre NOW of all times?! " I made sure to toss her out on his last pokemon just to see if he would reach and Gamefreak did not disappoint (this time).

The whole Terapagos thing felt so weird like 'oh we just finished the main BB story but we cant have a dlc without a legendary Pokemon so uhhhh here is a tera-turtle. Why is there a tera-turtle? Idk dont ask questions.'
  • @Kanzuko
@3:51 In the post-game you get dialogue that confirms what this stuff was. It was actually water from the crystal pool, which is why Briar was collecting it in The Teal Mask, and soil from Paldea. These both contain very small fragments of crystals from Area Zero, which helps to stabillize the terastal phenonenon and allows pokemon in the terarium to terastallize.
  • One thing Scott forgot to mention was THE MUSIC. Almost all the battle themes are remixes of B&W themes (cuz the academy is in Unova) and even the over world themes are sorta remixes of route themes, and some area specific ones like being able to hear Driftviel City Theme in the Coastal Biome. It’s just amazing as a B&W fan.

Just a note, the Terarium power source is explained at the end. It's full of Paldean soil and the crystals in the lake in Kitakami. They never go any further with the whole "BB being built on top of a plant" thing though, afaik
  • I will say, Indigo Disc’s battles actually gave me a challenge. I’m so used to just breezing through the battles in Pokemon games, but I almost lost to Drayton and Kieran.

The best thing about this DLC is that you can Furret Walk
  • @UBN6
A small info on the Mustard: There is spicy mustard that can get very spicy, but mild mustard is the most common type and most spicy mustard you can get in a regular shop are not too spicy either. You can tell it's spicier than the regular one and if you are not used to spicy food it can be quite spicy. The realy spicy variants you usually only get from delicatess stores in my opinion.

Game Freak needs to expand their staff roster. It’s a start.

Honestly it's really sad to see Gamefreak is pretty much stuck in a content cycle of constantly releasing games back to back without enough dev time. It's hard to get the anime, TCG, and merch to all coordinate if there's delays, and alongside TPCI wanting to maximize profits, lots of the time they're just forced to pump out whatever they finished because oftentimes the devs can't go "hey guys we need a few more months of dev time to enhance the performance of our game". There is a lot of passion and attention to details in the small things (blastoise got a huge glow up, the dialogue kieran and carmine have about ogerpon during their fight, etc) but there's just not enough dev time or likely even people working on the pokemon games to fix the spaghetti code. Even PLA got delayed (which probably backed up everything else) and it still wasn't that polished on launch. I've had lots of fun with PLA and SV but I cannot deny that this content cycle of releasing mainline games every 2 - 3 games is seriously affecting the quality of the games. Regardless of how fun they are, the game performing the way it does is a serious issue that TPC just won't address because they want to maximize profit over making the best possible game because I think a polished SV with some extra changes to performance and story cohesion would've 100% been the best game in the series.
  • @onimusha095
Fun Fact: Geeta is now actually somewhat a threat, since they fixed her team composition, with Kingambit as her Ace and Rock Flower thing (I forgot the name) as her starting Mon which sets up Toxic Spikes everytime it gets hit
  • @Oslith
Legends Arceus is considered a mainline game, but I can see how it wouldn't feel like it. I also feel like the DLC for these games is pureley just gonna be "Do you want more of what the base game offered?" even if that means more performance issues apparently.
  • I feel immensely sad for Kieran. Over the course of two DLC we've done nothing but mindbreak and bully this kid, take everything from him, then gaslight everyone including the player that what we did was great.
  • Seeing the Synchromachine makes me have hope for some sort of new Mystery Dungeon game.
  • @Joshua05005
7:40 Legends was a mainline game. It gave us 7 new pokemon and brought hisuian forms
  • @sophiebubbles07
The Legendaries aren’t locked behind biome upgrades. You talk to this guy called Snacksworth in the lobby, and he’ll give you items to be able to fight them if you do enough BBQs. Just wanted to correct that. There are no Legendaries in the Teradome, and the leaked event coming soon has seemingly nothing to do with the Teradome, either.
  • @SierraManiac
About the big shiny ball in the Terrarium, Briar says it is just full of soil from Paldea and that she added the water from Kitakami when she saw the lake in the last dlc.
  • 3:52 Unfortunately the actual answer is even more stupid then if gamefreak actually left it as a plot hole. If you go talk to Briar after getting the turtle she tells you that the Terarium Core is just Dirt from Paldea and the water from Kitakami. That's it. Also she added crystals from Aera Zero so now pokemon can be stellar types there...... yay....
