In this episode we had a return visitor and he sure made us work for this deal. He first visited us in March and no matter what we tried, we were not able to agree on a price. I came back at him with four different prices and no luck. However, the stars were shining when he made a surprise return and we finally managed to purchase a boatload of American Silver Eagles for the same price as in March. With Silver prices going through the roof and the fact that it was a complete 30 piece set was well worth the wait. Let us know in the comments what you think of the purchase.

    Love this … customer really did his due dilligence …. Owner made sure he kept his control & did not chase it … both guys were men! … polite & legit! … cash & silver baby!… this man is wearing a veteran affiliated shirt… he’s probably a vet & has never really had much money in his life but he stayed humble & stacked … love it If I ever won a comment give away I would give it to someone random is working a low paying job … a waiter at a small family restaurant who is studying to be something great

    As a buyer of second hand goods as in antique and vintage collectibles and other items I’m very surprised you even offered him that much with the economy the way it is. For me as a collector of PCGS silver dollars and the main reason I collected these certified slabs coins was to be able to sell them online when in need of extra money. It’s always bad when having to sell just about anything, it’s never on your side. Now if his collection was rated as grade level 70 his coins would be worth much much more and yes the proofs are the most valuable in this case of grade level 69 versus mint state. So basically he was just getting spot for his collection with a very slight premium. All I can says is at least he had something to sell. Being in a slab didn’t help him in this case, this is why I have bullion ASEs and 90% junk silver for the local market and my certified ASEs for online sales.

    It's tough out there right now...he was just trying to make a little and so were you...he was still in a position of not needing the money until spot went up and felt more comfortable in his position...everyone was happy in the end!
