Happy Wednesday upload!!! I really nearly didn’t post this video… but I think it’s such an important message still🥹 please like the video ❤
  • This was equally heartbreaking and inspiring, well done for being so open with how you were feeling and the impacts - I imagine it was really hard to be this vulnerable. You will absolutely smash the London marathon and at some point smash this challenge too. Look after yourself, you’ve got this 💪🏼

This was so real. We all get and deal with injuries and I appreciate your transparency and strength in sharing that with us. Lots of influencers just glance over this part of their fitness journey. You are a true athlete. Thank you for being real. Please do what you need to do to take care of yourself, we are here to support you. Rest and have a Merry Christmas!

These kind of videos are sometimes so needed and supportive to others. Hope your recovery goes well
  • Oh Lucy. This video breaks my heart. I have a bad hip also, the past year has been such a struggle. The pain in my hip is so unbearable sometimes. That I just cry. Please I beg you take care of yourself. So very proud of you.
  • Ya killed it LD! Takes an immense amount of strength to listen to your body. Rest up! 💪
  • Omg Lucy, I’m sitting watching this with tears in eyes. It is heartbreaking watching you go through so much pain but also so incredibly inspiring as I am currently experiencing a similar thing. You’re so inspiring to watch and you definitely motivate me to move myself and push myself. Thank you for being so honest, open and truthful. Hopefully you’ll be fit and well soon ❤xx
  • Awe Lucy you are a powerhouse of strength physically and mentally. Stay positive lovely girl. You got this. Be kind to yourself. Listen to your body 🤜🤛❤️

I've been coming back to this video because I'm experiencing pain in my wrist/arm atm (I do powerlifting), and I remember how this video made me feel last time I watched it when I had a back injury. Honestly, it meant a lot to me to see someone allowing themselves to get upset about an injury and having to stop a workout even if you don't want to or know you used to be able to do a lot more. It feels like such a defeat in the monent, but I know most of us will recover and do amazing things. Thank you for sharing that, it really helps me during recovery.
  • Injuries can really cause a lot of mental strife. I have gone through multiple surgeries and injuries. It is such a mental block when you feel like your moving and grooving only to have your body stop you. It gets so frustrating when you can’t physically do what you want. Anyone who has experienced injuries like this feels your pain, just make sure your health is well and don’t continue to stress the injury.
  • seeing raw footage like this is truly an inspiration and it's very true what you said about seeing elite athletes go through injury and pain and having things just not go according to plan all the time... it makes things seem more possible for more average people like myself🥴
  • Thank you for being responsible and knowing when to take a break. You will still do it. You are smashing it. Please have the surgery if needs be❤❤ it will help. But you and your Dr(s) would know best. Will patiently wait for redo of this video in future
  • October I had a hip subluxation and tear. I've had to pull out of London as my hip isn't strong enough yet. I really hope your rehab is going well and please smash your London goal on behalf of all us runners with hip injuries! 💪😁
  • @kayshaye
You gave this your best shot Lucy and even though all of us who are used to pushing our limits and constantly achieving more, you HAVE to respect your body. I’ve cried over awful lifting sessions, runs, etc. because I know when I can do better and it’s frustrating. But we appreciate your vulnerability and honesty, that is what we want from the fitness community. There’s always the promise of tomorrow, I can’t wait to see what you try next 💗💗
  • Your challenge from me Lucy Davis, is to rest. I have hip issues and really felt your pain. You are a massive inspiration to us all. 💖
  • @jackjack8205
I know you mentioned about slowing down, but then you said slow way down to 5:15 pace. As an experienced runner your easy pace should be a lot slower than that. I’ve run a 3.05 marathon and my easy pace is 5:45 for most of my runs. Would suggest you start doing the same and you’ll see the benefits. Your easy pace is almost a steady pace atm.
  • @jessabella77
I’m not an athlete anymore but I’ve been trying to get back into lifting and my shoulder was hurting. I went to the doctor and they say I have tendinitis and calcium build up from when I played sports and a past color bone break. I’m devastated about possibly not being able to lift based on my goals but I’ve set up a PT appt as well for beginning of January. We’ll get well together, morale support over here! Team work makes the dream work as they say! Great video though, I hope you heal better than ever and speedy.
  • @freddyruns
Feel for you here. I’m just coming back from an injury myself and the mental torture was far worse than the injury itself. Keep smiling
  • I think this is by far the stronger and more important message, instead of you pushing through 🙈 get well soon! ❤️
  • Posting this Video is the most inspirational and grittiest thing I've seen you do❤
