You maybe could add some different herbs too the oil for mosquito relief like lavender, marigolds, citronella grass, catnip, rosemary, basil, scented geraniums.not sure how long or if the oil would take on the oil from the herbs..the best wicks I've used have a metal perforated sleeve around the wick..and the flame can be put to work as well
