About me:
I’m a Registered Nurse who “Retired Early” (before the age of 50 🙌🏽) by budgeting, saving, investing & frugal living. I’m debt free excluding my mortgage. I get asked often why didn’t I pay off my mortgage as well before retiring early. Tomorrow is NOT promise to me I want to live life to the fullest, enjoy it while I can & while I’m young. I knew financially I wouldn’t be able to pay off my mortgage prior to retiring early. So I planned to have a mortgage with my retirement income. I continue to pay extra money towards my mortgage principal to pay it off as soon as possible. In the meantime I’m retired, I can do whatever I want everyday & travel as often as I want. I live a very frugal lifestyle, keep my expenses low & it works great for me! I no longer answer to supervisors, no more denied time off request, getting called into work on my days off, etc. I have no regrets & I’m very Thankful😇
