To play like that after 4 years is an achievement in itself ngl

Them randomly spraying like a firehose left and right every battle slayed me

No hate to the Sombra but this gameplay proves they are wrong, people think just because "rank" resets they are all of a sudden going to be higher than they were all of a sudden... the player was a Silver player before the reset and they still are Silver I don't want to hate on the player but their Aim needs massive work, say what you want about console but having consistent aim is still a bare minimum for climbing. Compared to everyone else in the match I don't see this Sombra doing anything special to deserve to be higher than them, if anything the Sombra was the weakest link on their team.

I’d argue this person is more of a bronze 3 player. They genuinely have a lot to work on.

5:55 as someone that’s played an unhealthy amount of Sombra, for a Junkrat I’d just lead with Virus and engage from a fair distance. Usually one of the easier kills you’re gonna get, big enough target, not fast

I wish the people who submit these also sent a screenshot of final scoreboard

Hack doesn't significantly increase damage, and it only silences enemies for less than a second, so it is only really good for when it interrupts an ability (like doom block, spinny spear, reflect, sigma eat, plus some ults and other abilities). The only damage increase is taking the virus impact from 10 to 20. The virus damage over time happens faster, but the effect ends quicker. So if you need to kill an enemy in 3 seconds or less, hacking can help, but if you are in a clean 1v1 where they can't get help, I find it is much better to land the virus first and then just shoot. The increased chance of hitting the virus and shooting before they have a chance to react is usually worth more than the 10 extra impact damage from having them hacked. Sometimes the short silence is enough to make the difference, especially in stall situations where a mei needs to ice block on point before 4 people explode them, buying the team close to a second of extra time is enough for focus fire to come in, but in a 1v1, it is near impossible to get the elim before their abilities come back and they use them to get you or save themselves. So in general, I find it is best to virus, then shoot, and only hack if I have a reason to, either focus fire coming in from the team or a specific ability or ult to cancel.
  • 15:38 I love how they pretty clearly went for a hack on soldier and accidentally got the healthkit, forcing them to lead with virus as they should lol.

Emongg is WAY to lenient. This is some peak bronze gameplay. Feel lucky you're in silver.
  • Yeah leading off with hack is usually only reserved for when you need someone's cooldowns to be hacked like you want Ana to not have sleep etc. Hacking someone just ruins the biggest element Sombra has which is the element of surprise on most heroes. So many of them will just shrug it off or kill you since they are not as dependent on cooldowns

As a Sombra player on and off for three years who has grinded up from bronze to gold five…I can’t wait to watch this

Sombra is one of the heroes I am trying to/wanting to learn. I was told to always lead off with hack, then, go to virus, then, damage. But, I find exactly what we saw here. When I hack, I usually hack successfully, but then the person knows, turns to face me, and moves out of my virus. I then start to panic, which throws my aim everywhere, and I translocate out. Leading with virus and then damage makes more sense, as it will be easier to land the virus, since I can do it with patience as the person isn't normally moving as much, and then I can follow through with damage. I play a lot like this person plays, and I definitely see the flaws in it. Thank you for this great video! I have learned a lot. Now, put it to action!

As a plat sombra myself, this player is where he is supposed to be on the ladder
  • @fettbub92
That EMP at the end. Had they stayed up top and farmed a little damage like you said; they could have ulted 1 second sooner, probably won the fight, and the game.
  • @K1NGMITO
    Yo they’re missing every virus😂😂😂😂
  • @nemesis0088
this person is still playing like OLD sombra. New sombra hack is pretty useless outside of canceling ults or on tanks to cancel shields for a play by your team like to land a sleep dart or anti. They are spending too much time trying to just hack a bunch of players. New sombra at best it increases virus damage over time. So the hack then virus only works on say trying to take out a person coming back from spawn and doesnt have a moment ability like zen, ana. Others like moria or kirko they will just fade or teleport away before you can do enough damage to them since hack isnt long enough for those
  • @andersj91
They missed SO many viruses because of strafing after they made the target aware via hacking. Lead with virus except for Tracer/ana/bap aka characters that can quick roll you or escape with abilities.

Advice was alright but give some more micro advice please. At 23:05 they almost had a Moira dead but forgot about her after she faded. This guy is pressing a lot of buttons but not directing his impact at any kind of target. Just doing stuff to what’s in front of him.
