My name is Mfundo Mabalane, standing in for Clement Manyathela this evening.

So on the show tonight, we'll be discussing Chidimma Adetshina's citizenship without a doubt-one of the biggest stories that has dominated headlines since she was unveiled as one of the Miss SA pageant contestants. The story continues to develop. Just this afternoon Chidimma announced that she was withdrawing from the pageant following the statement from the Home Affairs minister on their preliminary findings that there is prima facie evidence that Chidimma's mother could have committed fraud and identity theft. We'll be speaking to the chairperson of the portfolio committee on Home affairs .

-A bit later on in the show, we'll be in conversation with Police Minister Senzo Mchunu on his plans to address the high crime rate in the country. Criminals have become more brazen, with extortion rackets now firmly established in all industries, clubs, restaurants, construction, taxi's even Spaza shops are paying protection fees to these criminals if they want to continue to operate. This has potential to cripple our economy and leave us at the mercy of thugs, essentially a situation where the underworld runs a parallel state.

-We'll close off the show with ANC NEC Member Donald Selamolela following their intense deliberations and reflections at their Lekgotla on their electoral outcomes from this years May 29 elections. We heard from the ANC's Secretary general this afternoon, that they have narrowed down the issues that lead to the significant decline, to 3. It's the economic crisis and social production, governance weaknesses and major organisational problems. The ANC says this is a significant moment to internalise the very strong message sent by the electorate to the party.

The nonsense that we are witnessing about this Chidimma Adetshima story can only happen in South Africa, a country that's become a free for all haven for criminals from all over the world, has no rule of law, and is replete with corrupt Home Affairs officials who take bribes like they are competing for awards. Citizenship of any country is a sacrosanct commodity, but South African cistizenship is sold over the counter by these corrupt Home Affairs officials like fish and chips at a spaza shop. These corrupt officials must be charged with treason!!!
