In 4 first games Embiid played like a turtle. Yet, last night he played like a ninja turtle. Honestly we prefer watching teams are neck and neck with Team USA rather than blow-out games. The gap in sports are narrower not only in basketball but also all sports. For instance in football. Brazil held draw by Costa Rica 0 - 0 in Copa America. In 1990's we would never see this result. Brazil probably scored 5 goals or more easily. So, never compare Team USA 2024 with The Dream Team 1992 who always won 30+ pts ! Back then, another countries just like high school students who played basketball .

Brian is one of the only people in basketball media that really understands the game - not on an Xs&Os level, but he sees power dynamics and strengths of teams the right way. Very refreshing to hear him give real props to non-US teams.
