If you dont get natural light in your room you can buy a lumie alarm which has a sun light that gradually gets brighter as the sun would if you had a well lit room. Its also really useful for the winter even if you do have a normally well-lit room.

A tip that I have is, think of something you are grateful for and wake up with a positive energy! To me, this is super useful!

For me getting out of bed because there’s always a pile of tasks that i planned out and sleepy-me doesn’t want to know ath about it. It helps just getting out of bed and put clothes on and drink a warm cup of tea. It’s a step forward to stand up at all 😊

Thank you for this video and advice Maya!!!!! I definitely always say "I want to get up earlier in the morning" or "I think it'd be fun to be a morning person" but it consistently does not happen each summer that I say it!!! I love the idea of reaching for water instead of the phone immediately, I definitely want to try that, as well as setting up specific things to do in the morning to motivate me to go to bed earlier and not hit snooze in the morning! I noticed that the times I did that it definitely helped so I'll work on continuing it haha 💗💗💞💞💝💝

I'm going to university very soon and am planning on fixing my sleep schedule since I have to wake up at 5 am every single day, and during summer I've been waking up at 1 pm... thank you once again!
