Richie Kotzen was our guest for The Flo Guitar Enthusiasts Radio Show on November 11th, 2013. During the show he demonstrated the beginning lick to the hit song "I'm No Angel" from The Winery Dogs debut album. He also discussed how the song originally had the chorus from "Elevate" in it, but was later changed per the suggestion of Mike Portnoy.

At the end of the video, Richie does a quick little guitar jam to take us out of the show.

Richie plays through a Roland AC-33 acoustic amp.

That is so great. Love the guys that are all about "the work". You can tell this guy is just totally absorbed in music. Oh yeah, and he's also an unreal singer, writer and mind numbing guitarist!

I originally found Richie Kotzen and The Winery Dogs whilst looking for a new pickup for my telecaster. I came across the Dimarzio Chopper T and Richie's name was on the list of artists that used the pickup so I decided to check him and The Winery Dogs out, so glad that I did, I haven't heard a band that is this musically brilliant in years.

Such an awesome singer, guitar player, and he seems to be so damn cool as a person, as well, I love that song, and that riff is one of the most beautiful things I've ever heard... not to mention the solo, damn. Ps. why the hell would anyone dislike this?!
