This was one of the most respectful conversations I've ever seen. Wow. More of this, please.

Is freedom about Choice? Does a government really have the right to tell people what they can and can’t do with their bodies? Isn’t your personal beliefs just that your personal beliefs? If you don’t agree with something simply don’t participate in it. Why are you so arrogant as to think that your opinion and point of view should affect every single woman in the country? Are you going to be helping these women? Are you going to be supporting these women? It’s their body. It’s their right. They have the right to choose and keep your beliefs in your house, not in our politics.

I can respect the lady who actually disapproves of the death penalty in addition to being anti abortion, however I think it's hypocritical that she says that, but agrees with forcing women to carry to term even if it's traumatic, like rape or medical complications or mental/financial stability. That just doesn't sit right with me. If you're against violence, you should be FOR helping victims and survivors as well.

While I appreciate a civil conversation on a difficult topic I’m deeply disappointed that broader issues of abortion as healthcare weren’t discussed. Plenty of women want their pregnancy but ectopic pregnancies, untenable fetal development or rape and incest victims will all see their access to healthcare curtailed. It’s outrageous that doctors have to stand by and wait for a woman to be in medical distress before they can provide healthcare.

Look the party against abortion is also against universal health care, living wage, increased social programs, education etc etc. So talk that sh*t about supporting woman if you want but their vote tells me different.
  • @Hello_Pri
This conversation was so civil and respectful. So nice to see.

The anti-abortion woman in blue says to give the women what they need, give the choice to the states. No. To give the women what they need, give the choice to the women. This is so personal. It should never have been made a political issue

So impressed by the bravery and candor of the women in this video. Well done!
  • From a western European view, it's insane that abortion is such an extreme topic. We have a nuanced view, that abortion should be up to 18 weeks. Everything in the US is presented as either yes or no. Abortion is a complex subject.

The time has come to remove tax exempt status from all churches, Federally. If religious groups want to play politics, put them on defense fighting to remain financially viable.

I am pro-life & individual choice. I refuse to impress my pro-life views on anyone other than myself. To each their own.

This is servitude and against the Constitution of the United States Thirteenth Amendment Section 1 Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction. Section 2 Congress shall have power to enforce this article by appropriate legislation. Definition of servitude 1 : a condition in which one lacks liberty especially to determine one's course of action or way of life 2 : a right by which something (such as a piece of land) owned by one person is subject to a specified use or enjoyment by another

That woman's argument at 1:28 is such a joke. You think people in different parts of the country feel differently so it should be left to the states to decide? How about because different people around the country feel differently, it should be left for the individual to decide. Another pro-lifer makes the argument for choice.
  • @flowerpow8472
But it should not be decided at the states "Through the legislators and reps" as some are saying. It should be dicided at the state level through the people via a direct vote in ballot initiatives "do you support abortion? Yes or no? Governors should not be deciding for everyone because lets be honest you can have more individuals in support of abortion, or gun laws, or whatever at the state level. However, gerrymandering can allow a republican like Ron Desantis to win and hence a enacting laws that the majority of the people do not want. All the republicans from the top down for decades have been passing these gerrymandered voting maps. I have never seen a more maniacally unfair, cheating, dishonest, group of so called Christians in my life.
  • Definitely one of the more respectful and thoughtful conversations going on right now. I thought the girl who changed her mind on the issue was particularly interesting, and the girl who was disillusioned by the larger Pro-life movement was more nuanced than expected.
  • @RobinHerzig
Great so let's talk about supporting women— Free quality childcare free prenatal + post-natal health services free access to birth control lifelong support for kids with disabilities decent affordable housing (free if necessary) diapers, cribs, carriages, baby formula… etc free education beyond high school (for not just mothers + their kids, for all students) school safety + gun control
  • Everyone should stay out of everyone else's buisness . No one is forced to have an abortion . Respect women . We are capable of running our own lives.
  • The conversation was lacking, imo. There shouldn't even have to be debate about this. It's my body, not yours! Govern your own body. That's that.
  • @rae7564
This was a good group of women. However no one and I mean no one other than myself should have the ability to choose what's best for my life, because it's my life and if I need an abortion I'm going to get one. FULL STOP that's the choice that is available to me.
  • @1224dlc
I am pro-life; however, this decision to overturn Roe vs. Wade is terrible! No one should tell a woman what to do with their body. It is terrible for the government to do this.
