For now the Discord is just a pretty casual place to hang out, share your creations, and talk about mostly Legos. Occasionally we do competitions. If you want to show off, we're decent enough, and love to geek over stuff. If you're a beginning builder and want advice, it's a good place to get it it.
As for the Moon Base itself, it came about as a remake of a similar moon base I made back in 2013, in my first year on this channel: • Lego Moon Base I think my building skills have come along way in 7 years, both in terms of the techniques that I employ, and in terms of the quality and patience I expect from myself.
The vehicles and technology are more realistic and fleshed-out now too. Now we've got a non-aerodynamic lander, more lightweight constructions, studless building, machinery that can fold up into transport configurations, and a color scheme that's more coordinated: all smooth panels and pressure-holding-walls are white, and everything else is grey.
Really, really happy with this one.

Ah, finally, I am able to speak. These are incredible, I really like the utility rover and hovercraft, they are just so slick and stylish. I also really like the small humanoid robot, it's really cute.

The whole base is awesome. The rover reminds me of the Life On Mars theme, another Lego theme I wish Lego would remake.
