Your right on the money. We have a lot of new guys on that haven’t documented things where the next shift is trying to figure out wtf happened earlier in the day. Cover your ass is the main reason I always just do the report. Great video

Nice video. This is honestly the kind of stuff I wished was covered more or at least explained in a simple way that anyone could easily understand. I'm not going to look forward to writing reports when the time comes for me to patrol the streets, but knowing that the report means the difference between sending a felon I just arrested to prison or walking scot-free, I don't plan on cutting any corners

Hey! U just gained my subscription! Love ur vids and I have a super strong appreciation for law enforcement and first responders! Every time I’m riding my bike around my town and I see a cop sitting in a parking lot I usually stop and say hi and if they have time for a quick chat I usually chat for a few mins with them then thank them for their service and keep on riding. And when I’m at an amusement park I always talk to the cops as I see them through the day if their not busy. Trying to get one to go on a roller coaster with me 😂. Take care love the vids

This was great info! I do reports all the time at my security job, I try to be thorough as possible. What happened, what time, where did it happen at, what was the issue, how was it resolved, etc.

I think it would be pretty cool for you to do a video about, certain situations you remember that were abnormal and how you dealt with those situations. Ex. car accidents, domestic calls, disturbing the peace etc.

Thank you so much. I’m just Susie citizen agonizing over how to fill out papers for an order of protection. It’s for emotional/mental abuse of an elderly person(me). At my age ..67 I fit the category. Describing emotional abuse and false police reports.. is my challenge. Your video was helpful.

You don’t have to mirandize unless it is a custodial investigation meaning the suspect has to be under arrest. Unless Louisiana’s Supreme Court extended the use of Miranda.
