This is the first time I've seen Conan be serious. It's strange to watch.

I'm team Conan. Conan is funnier. He deserved it. Done. End of conversation.

Still cannot find a single commenter to say something bad about conan.

"I don't think I can answer that" My man, you just did.
  • Respect to Conan. Despite being screwed over, he still acted as a gentleman and did not hate on them at all. Much respect and love to Conan. You are where you are meant to be though.
  • That long sigh when asked if Jay handled it correctly tells you everything. Conan admired and respected Leno so much for helping him to get to where he is, that he is absolutely crushed that he is now in a position where he can destroy the guy - and he doesn't. Class act put in an impossible situation.

I remember hearing a story in sunday school about two women who came before king solomon both claiming a baby was theirs.  So king solomon said to resolve the argument he would cut the baby in half and let each women keep half of it.  The real mother who loved the baby knew cutting the baby in half would kill it so she said to let the other women keep the baby but don't cut it in half.  Thats how King Solomon knew who the real mother was.  In 2010 NBC proposed to move the tonight show to 12 and let Leno be on at 11.  Conan said he would rather leave and let Jay have the tonight show rather than damage one of the greatest franchises in tv history.  Now obviously nbc isn't king solomon, but as people we can see other peoples hearts and values when decisions have to be made.  Conan loved comedy, and he cared about the tonight show.  Leno only cared about being number 1.  Conan said he can sleep at night, I don't think Leno can.  Conan will always be the tonight show host to me.

It did end up costing the NBC execs their jobs.

"I can sleep well". That's the point of life. Being good is a sign of strength. Go Conan!

His last two weeks on The Tonight Show were some of the funniest on television. He threw caution to the wind and it was glorious to watch.

1:20 - "Do you believe he acted honorably" is what Steve asked Conan here, and Conan says he can't answer than, but then within 20 seconds he does, in a nice, clever if it was me answer. A great politician he would make.
  • @mrxxbrian
Interviewer: "Do you think he acted honorably?" Conan: (longest sigh ever)

Conan has always been a man with principles. And I think that his show on TBS may not get as much "views" as his competitors but he has a fairly big and VERY dedicated fan community... that counts more towards how good your show really is.

I remember when this interview first came out! Now, looking back...wow, Conan was in pretty bad shape! And I don't mean, only the way he looks. He truly looked very sad! And OF COURSE...he had all the right to be! Imagine you're promised a dream job, that you waited for YEARS...and that's given and taken from you within a few months. Messed up Jay and NBC, Not cool!
