New headcannon: When Leo was little, he and his mom would sing while they worked in their shop. After she died, he never sang when anyone one was around, only when he was alone, and needed cheering up. One evening, Calypso gets him to sing at the campfire, and everyone is amazed at how good he is. His voice hits the notes perfectly, and they Apollo campers gap. Calpso just smiles and says, "I didn't know you could get any better."

A single tear just fell down my face like I'm in a bad anime what the heck. I love this so much. The only thing is that right after this a boat probably came to take Leo off Caly's island. Or if this is after the events of blood of Olympus... It could be them deciding to stay on the island indefinitely which might be worse on my heart but whatever.

I found this animatic because I love DEH and I loved this animatic but I was like, "Who's Caleo?" Then I realized it's a ship (hey, I'm a Broadway and books fan. I got too many ships to remember!) Then I realized it's from the series that my friends have been begging me to read for the longest time. So I didn't read the series because it's been 3 years of begging from them (although, that was part of the reason). I read it because I wanted to fully understand this animatic. AND OH MY ZEUS THIS IS PERFECT!
