  • Absolutely agree. These kind of cards are taking the ...out of rugby. Very bad for the future of the game.
  • I fully agree with you. 13 years of playing inside centre and never seen such a kak decision
  • @gkmarais
Agree. A ref looks at intent for a deliberate knock on but not foul play. It's also bullshit how some teams are consistently punished more harshly than others.
  • @zaheerlarey1294
Agree. This also happened in the WC final. I'm sure Cane didn't do that with malicious intent.
  • If there was head contact Andre also hit his head, he seemed fine... So I doubt serious head contact, it was the whiplash. The physical element of Rugby is like sugar in ice cream without it you don't have rugby. Players should respect each other, in that without an opponent there is no game, but to overcome the physical limits of the body, to tests them is liberating although painful at times.
  • Namibia's Deysel probably didn't intend to hurt Dupont but tackled him in an upright position and shattered his cheekbone. Deserved red card but there was unlikely malicious intent. Head on head contact in tackles is happening too often . Players need to get lower.

What about the dropgoal that didnt strike the ground before it was kicked
  • @lendekramer9461
I think someone like Pat Lambie would differ with you. Head is Red. Finish and Klaar. That guy's career ended because of an accident or "rugby incident". We need to protect players from head injuries. This is one of the ways to force defenders to be more careful when tackling someone.
  • Very soon we will have the soccer approach, where you just need a good actor or two to get rid of opponent players red carded. This whole card rubbish surely must also have been copied from soccer

Bru 10 years ago SA was still playing rugby no its about coner kick and line kicks you dont see any one actually playeing and playing rugby look at the 1h15 game against IRELAND AND south Africa that will be colby

If you go back 10+ years many things are different buddy, not an argument.

100% rugby has become a meme of itself. all these bs rules should be removed. rugby should be rolled back to the 2007-2009 laws. world rugby is forever chasing after these fabled "new fans", while in the process completely ignoring / alienating their existing fans. here's a novel idea: maybe old fans would come back / be more interested if world rugby stopped fkng with the laws. sidenote: interesting how the emasculation of the game seems to track perfectly with the cultural shtshow going on in just about every aspect in the world today.
