  • I think the most amazing use of this robot will be to find a way to attach it as a prosthetic to a person with no legs, it looks really stable and self balanced, smart living like motion, very ergonomic, small for all the features it holds and looks very futuristic, I can't wait to see Cassie in a movie.
  • @dono624
Love the little caption at the end as soon as the guy finishes talking about using the robots to save people from a burning building. "Funded by DARPA" lol.
  • I'd love to to see an update on how far you have come with Cassie, over a year later now.

Don't worry - we've still got 20 seconds to comply.
  • I can't help but think this is a massive stepping-stone towards giving people back the use of their legs. People seem focused on exo-suits, or prosthetics - which are absolutely wonderful, but if there is a system for taking care of complex tasks such as quickly rebalancing when something unexpected happens, it would become much more useful.
  • just put a gatling on it and sell them as "home security unit"
  • The versatility of this robotic movement would also be fantastic in movies. I'm sure the Stan Winston special FX Studio would be able to find some uses for it. Not to mention the animatronix combination could seriously improve some "tied down" robotics or followed by heavy cables and power units or battery packs. A different mindset for different applications could even propel your research forward
  • "So that enables us to stand in place, sit down, crouch, *squat*." - Instantly adopted by the Russian military.
  • Imagine this thing chase behind you with a taser gun instead of cops...

This was a triumph. I'm making a note here, huge success. It's hard to overstate my satisfaction.

Great project, and great video/editing! Would love to join the team.

I would ask to investigate so that this project can serve that can sit on top of the robot a person without legs or spinal cord injury. As if it were a Chair wheels but with legs.
  • Awesome. I am proud of your company's achievement. Play all the angles Agility Robotics
