Today, Lamborghini just unveiled the 2022 Lamborghini Countach LPI 800-4 and I was fortunate to film it driving on the streets, start up & some exhaust sound at The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering. A retro remastering of the origninal Countach, unlike the old Countach, the new one features a small electric motor (hybrid system) powered by a supercapacitor that teams with a mighty mid-mounted V-12 to generate a combined 802 horsepower. Lamborghini claims this powertrain will help it achieve zero-to-62 mph in 2.8 seconds and a 221-mph top speed. Est $3 Milllion and 112 units. #2022lamborghinicountach #lamborghini #trending

my mind says it’s just an aventador with a bodykit… but my heart says it only misses the BIG ASS WING! it’s so beautiful 😭
  • @SiCrewe
It's a beautiful car but, in another 50 years, when anybody mentions "Countach", people are STILL going to think of the original car.
  • @sam_i_am6410
It's impossible to beat the beauty of the original Countach, but I think they should've taken a few more styling cues from it. This one is badass... but at a glance, it just looks like a modded Diablo or something to me
  • Boys and grown up man around 80's and 90's wants their iconic pin up version. The one with fixed rear wing.

Just when you thought they can't milk the Aventador anymore, then boom! Countach!

Next: 2023 Lamborghini Diablo Next: 2024 Lamborghini Murcielago

I like how they actually kept the look of the older Countach, unlike the new integra or supra.

HUUUUGE missed opportunity to bring back pop up headlights
  • @AMGT65
They didn’t even make an effort to change the interior from the aventador to something a bit more special that resembles the original countach…

Someone: how many different versions of the Aventador do you want to make? Lamborghini: yes
  • @Soulie81
They gotta make a version with the big wing. That's what I'm looking forward to the most.

This just makes me super excited to see a modern Diablo some day. Hopefully they keep the X-Large SV decal on the sides. That’s my favorite part
  • The design is perfect, it looks like a lambo, no overly huge grills, clear resemblance to the original but still looks completely fresh, new and exiting

First car I ever saw in upstate N.Y., and being from a small town full of American Muscle I LOVE..I knew it was a bigger world to explore..Cars unite us like music. Thank you!
  • I love how they modernized it while still keeping a lot of the vintage cues. I think it's cool that they didn't decide to increase its boldness. It actually looks less extreme to me than the previous models.

I have always loved the 80’s countach, it’s my favorite Lambo of all time. This modern version is a whole other level, I’m falling in love all over again!!
  • @mick71281
The more I look at it I like it , I would like to see a red one and possibly a rear wing that suits.
  • This whole car is a piece of art. There are many interesting designs from the past that can be reworked like this. Whoever came up with this idea is genious in Lamborghini, brilliant.
