Since the beginning of the 21st century, technology has advanced at an astonishing pace, transforming our reality in ways we couldn't have imagined. Our daily lives are now filled with innovations that were once considered mere dreams just a few decades ago.
Think back 100 years. Typewriters were the cutting-edge technology, telegrams were the fastest form of long-distance communication, and horse-drawn carriages were a common sight on the streets. The progress we've made since then leaves us wondering: what will technology look like centuries into the future?
Although no one knows the future, simply considering the integration of artificial intelligence and quantum computing into our lives leaves us with a sense of wonder about what possibilities lie ahead. Join us on this thrilling journey as we traverse time, propelling ourselves from the present to the mysterious year 4000, where mind-blowing technologies await.

Can you imagine people in the first century AD trying to predict what the world would look like in 2000 years?
  • @BlinkRazor
If we were 10 years away from a space elevator, surely there would be prototypes already?
  • I didn't see any predictions on how many wars we have during the next 2000 years!
  • @apscreditcards
I like this scenario of the future far better than the TYPICAL “What’s going to happen to the Earth in 5 million years” videos, in which the Sun expands and destroys the solar system, and meanwhile Humanity died out long ago, etc. When I watch those videos, I usually post a comment about how Humanity WONT die, the Sun WONT destroy the solar system…because way before that point in time we would have developed planetary and stellar engineering skills that will allow us to move the planets around, or even to another star, refuel the Sun, or even move the Sun to another spot in the Milky Way.

Space travel, moon cities, space elevator by 2038?! Hahaha! That's hilarious! If these projects haven't broken ground already, they will NOT happening by that date

I hope in the distant future mankind retains enough technology to watch these videos to see what could have been achieved were we not so warlike.
  • This is all over the place. We create a Dyson Sphere, develop Warp Drive, and then we can create Dyson Sphere? Lots of continuity problems. Somehow, we discover the Unified Field Theory only after inter-universal travel exists. I can't imagine being able to develop Warp Drive without it. The near future developments are WAY too soon. Space elevator in ten years? Experts are saying it isn't even worth it. Besides, there might be some funky electrical problems with a structure that links the upper atmosphere to the ground. There is an extreamly high voltage differential between the upper atmosphere and the ground. As for Neural Link, we aren't any close to connecting electronics to the human brain than we were 30 years ago. Yeah, people could control a mouse with their mind 30 years ago. I'm not going to expect any advancements in that anytime soon.
  • The space exploration predictions are far too soon, while the AI predictions are way too late.
  • My favorite ❤️ future technology is when people become a Type 4 Civilization in Year 4000.

I’m no futurist, so I cant really judge whether any of this makes sense, or not. Anyways, there’s plenty of folks here in the Comments who are more than happy to dive into those waters. But, as a historian, I will say this: Change will occur, and it will occur from unlikely people in unlikely places. Aloha 🤙🏼
  • Space elevator is not gonna be finished in 2038 only in 2070 if the tech work in the future for now is only a theory a dream
  • @petomolni
in 2035 I will be laughing watching this video..
  • @BigBanana21
Soooooo this is if we don’t destroy ourselves in the next decade 😅
