Dear Sonny. As a Swiss working in hospitality the prices you mentioned are upsetting me as well but you went to the Bürgenstock, literally the least Swiss place in Switzerland as it's owned by the Qatar Hospitality Fund. The prices shown in your video are absurde even for Switzerland but they do not represent our price structure in any way. You can have great meals for 20-30 dollars which are amazing and yes, that is still expensive, but not Bürgenstock like, where only rich snobs from Switzerland and other countries stay to brag about it. Enjoy your time in Switzerland and hopefully you find some other amazing meals in our diverse country.

If I had to pay $900 a day for a hotel room and $70 for breakfast I’d turn it into a tax write off too that’s insane

After almost three years, we finally heard sunny’s wife’s voice. She’s such a nice person for filming him during these shoots. I hope you guys at least went out on a date without a camera in the world’s most expensive country

The beef wasn't from Switzerland, it was from South America 😂😂, as described in the menu (Südamerika).

The "salads" had the scissors next to them because they were meant for people to cut a few chunks off and lay it on their bread or whatever. It wasn't meant for one person to take the whole thing and take bites out of it. I'm actually surprised the rule-loving swiss people didn't interfere. 😅 Well, I guess they gave you the "he is American and did pay 70 bucks for a mediocre breakfast" - bonus. Switzerland is ridiculously expensive if you are from almost ANY other country. If everything is expensive (which it is in Switzerland) then the food must be as well.

Congratulations, you finally cracked that $1000 food challenge for once! The Swiss really know how to handle money after all, especially how to drag it out of your pockets...

Delivering food to the wrong room & waiting 2 hours for an overpriced burger = 5 stars.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Always a great show to watch and always waiting for the next episode. When you are in Switzerland again you must try the traditional Raclette if you love cheese and definitely make take a trip to the Zeudhauskeller in Zürich. Absolute treat and will fit in with your interaction zest

I rarely comment on food tubes but you present everything so nicely!!! I enjoyed your videos very much, keep up the great work!

I always knew it's one of the most expensive countries in the world but this is far out. Swiss people travelling abroad must have a great time, everything feels free.

Dear Sonny, I live in Lucerne and I went to the restaurant „Obermatt“ several times. The quality of the fish is so great there - and I get the snails as a starter every time 😄 the beef was from south america.. the bürgenstock resort is extremly expensive. You don‘t find many swiss people there.. I recommend you to visit Lucerne the next time, or just go to the smaller towns, there the food is less expensive. And contact me next time, we have a boat on the lake lucerne, you don‘t have to pay CHF 600 for it - it‘s free for you 😄 thanks so much for your videos, they are just great!!

After watching this, I've decided to visit South-East Asia for my Winter vacation this November.

The vegetarian burger was 45 ChF and the Wagyu was only 9ChF more. They must have some pretty expensive veggie Patties.
  • @earlh
The beef you ate actually wasn't local. It wrote South America next to entrecote. Swizerland is just an expensive country, that doesn't mean what you get is always good quality or local, it just means that it's expensive to do business there.
  • Sonny the „salad“ is called „Kresse“ in English it is called cress I think and it is meant to get cut off with the scissors they provided and you put it on your bread, most often on top of some creame cheese or scrambled eggs 😅 it’s not a salad, it’s more a topping for savory breakfast items 😂 I felt the need to clerafy that, cause it’s well known here in Germany where I am from 👍🏼
