Honestly half the reason I carry bear spray is for humans 😂

As someone who lives in Northern Michigan, I love seeing all the familiar travels around the state!
-
Awesome video love the snow on the beach and woods wish we had more snow like this where I live. We’ve just had rain all winter 🙂
-
Hi on ice or snow, turn your wheel the direction you want to go full lock keep handbrake on and gun it with front wheel drives, its not going to work as well trying to go up hill but it depends on the hill .

Fellow Michigan native and the UP is pretty amazing considering how closeit is for me. Southwest US is still my favorite.
-
Have you tried Manna Bread? It's spouted wheat and there are a few different styles. Try carrot raisin with sliced avocado on it. Mmmm Amazing!
-
Cool video, literally! I'm a lake Superior shore walker and learned after falling in a few times to look for a walking stick and oh creepy vans creep me out to and I'm a guy!

Hiking alone in winter is exactly how to end up on Missing 411. I’ve lost several friends to hiking alone. Please be careful and always let someone know your route.

If your not planning on doing a whole lot of winter camping you can forgo a inten$ive modification to your vane (insulating and some sort of independently powered or fuel air heater) and instead consult your inner child and build a blanket fort around your sleeping bag … in my minivan set up i sinply have a wooden dowel that i have that on one hand fits through the gap between the front seat and the head rest and on the back end fits through a loop in a line i have running from the left to right…. Over that i have a sheet, a breathable blanket, then a thick wool blanket or quilt like it is a three layer pup tent. This way the heat that is radiating away from me is held in somewhat in a bubble around me before escaping out into the cold van

That water is amazing :o

Hello fellow Michigander. I saw some familiar places in your vlog. The Mighty Mac was an easy one to spot. 🤩🌉 You didn't pick the best season to go for a swim. Wait until summer when the waters a bit warmer. 🏊♀ Sorry about the creepy van giving you the bad vibes. You played it well though, by not approaching until he left. You exhibited great situational awareness. 💯 Hope your Vtoman and heating pads worked ok for you and kept you warm and toasty all night. 🛌

I have no idea why your channel popped up in my recommended but as a fellow Michigander (and aspiring van lifer someday!) I LOVE that it did
-
I’ve stopped at that rest stop many times to watch the sunset while traveling downstate. Hope you enjoy your time in the UP! If you need a friend lemme know.

Hey Erin, enjoying your Youtube video. I'm from southwest MI and recognized where this vlog is located in northern MI. I have been up north in that area many times. It's beautiful in any of the seasons.
-
Definitely should let me live in there with ya
