I know the Deadpool films are like black comedies. Even the Kick-Ass films and Amazon Prime's The Boys are dark superhero satirical stories too. There was also going to be a film about The Boys. Back in 2010. Or film franchise if it was successful. By none other than Columbia Pictures and directed by Adam MCKay. He never got any credit when the Amazon Prime adaptation of The Boys came out in 2019. Even Seth Rogen, never got credit either. To me, I think scrapping the concept of a film of The Boys. Was a mistake. Because Columbia Pictures thought the world was not ready for an anti-superhero satirical parody yet. It took 9 years to be adapted into a tv series at Amazon Prime. Paramount and Columbia Pictures idea of a film adaptation of The Boys. Heck, Adam McKay is also a fan of The Boys comics too. Adam McKay deserves credit too. For Amazon Prime's The Boys tv show. He was one of the folks who pitched an adaptation of The Boy in the first place. That was missed opportunity here. Waste of time for nothing. A really unnecessary missed and wasted opportunity all at once. "Sigh... Thanks a lot Paramount and Columbia Pictures. Thanks for nothing!"

If people don't think Deadpool is out to make a joke, no matter the circumstance - they didn't get the joke. Fr - Deadpool is the type to make jokes at your funeral and shoot the mailman if they're on his naughty list. People need to get a grip. I am a big fan of both Deadpool and Wolverine - he is the Merc With A Mouth for a reason, he doesn't get that just from swears and being obscene - he makes jokes regardless of your feelings.
