  • @JK13th
Admit it. This isn't your first time watching this.
  • Thank you all so much for the love!!!! Sput, Nate, and GhostNote brought tons of energy to my music. Thanks again to my Zildjian fam for the amazing opportunity!
  • @JT12376
    Still watching this in 2024!!
  • This is one of those legendary performances that every musician returns to watch from time to time... I really don't know how many times I've been here.
  • @ihazthots
At this point, Larnell should be a brand of drums.
  • Okay but come on... can we just talk about how beautifully and subtly Nate Werth (percussionist) compliments Larnell here (as well as every other drummer he works with)!! Sneakily filling the space at 6:07, getting that drop with Larnell at 6:34, adding to the Latin-esque groove at 7:00, and most importantly never getting in the way or playing when he doesn't need to be!! Awesome musicianship.
  • "Dad why my sister name Rose?" "Because your mom loves Rose" "Thanks dad" "No problem Zildjian Live! - Larnell Lewis"
  • Larnell plays with such good “micro dynamics”: every hit is with a very deliberate volume. All at a hundred miles an hour. Wow!
  • man, even PROFFESSIONAL drummers are fanboying this GUY. Tranparency in technique, creativity as wild as a little kid, skilled like a grown man, and a God given talent. I wanna be like him. Mr. Larnell Lewis you're amazing!
  • Nate on percussion, Mono on bass and Larnell on drums... The holy trinity.

This was the last piece of music I shared with my grandpa. Unable to leave his bed let alone spend time in his room with 31 guitars, he replied, “Amazing!!!” In the weeks leading to his passing, this became my all-time favorite music performance. Now, months later listening to it again for the first time, I’m reminded of the never-ending and inexplicably positive influence, not just musically, that he had on me. I have a whole life in front of me, and I know he’d want me to keep enjoying this piece - so that’s what I’ll do. Thank you all for this incredible, incredible piece of music.
  • that last slap of the cymbals with the hands is the drumming equivalent to a mic drop :) most epic Larnell to date
  • @cpomp99
MonoNeon tho.....bout to make me groove myself into a neckbrace.
  • 6:06 when he does a live reverse-snare effect might be the most impressive thing I’ve ever seen
  • Four years later, this is still the best thing on YouTube. Thank you, @LarnellLewisMusic!!!
  • Told him the day before about that damn hi hat swell! 😭 smh knew the world would love it. Incredible to witness #genius
  • Been 3 years ?? & i have not gotten tired of this performance. Shoutout GhostNote, Mr Larnell Lewis & Sput fr.
