aaahhhh you got the WOT shift feature too. i went 2 step only. i like my powershifts just the way they are !
  • @boost331
it is for launch control. you set the desired rpm and mash the clutch and gas to the floor. it then holds your pre set rpm and builds some boost too ! i get about 3 psi at 3800rpm. this will be awesome when i launch on my slicks !
  • @boost331
some places call it launch control. others use the term 2 step.
  • @jdmjunk
I insataled mine this thing is awesome and i love shifting..

it for function, not sound. i know that is hard for many RICERS to grasp. just like my BPV it is for quicker spool up and preventing compressor surge. NOT for making cute little chirp chirp noises !!
  • @GreezyLu
so what is this mod called? the one that holds revs to a preset rpm? this sounds interesting. i think the 07 si's have that...makes sense for racing..

@boost331 I respect your opinion dude but isnt it a bit cruel to say they all suck because you had a bad experience? I just bought one and its been great to me.... so far lol... I am waiting for my SRI and my Access Port. What do you drive now?
  • @steviekfc
after a bit of research i have worked it out lol. and i say awsome.
  • @boost331
I am in plainfield IL. I no longer have this car though. The dude who bought it blew the motor !! sucks to be him.

  • @AgileMJOLNIR
@ShdwBxr Exactly...for fucks sake you could tell there was something wrong just by the exhaust note lol.

I jad the ar for 2 and a half years and belonhed to 3 forums. All of them have mile long threads about blown engines. Some stock some lightly modded, some even forged. There is a major design issue. My car was fully bolted with big wheel turbo @ 20psi and made a pussy like 300whp on a dynojet ! Any other factory turbo car with similar mods would be at about 450whp. Garbage, thats i sold it and it blew in 3 months for the new owner
  • @imthebob
you launch at 3800?! dang you must have slicks
  • @akatopj22
lol 08m u dont know jack about cars then its for racing.I'm installing mine this sunday should be interesting.Hey have u tried to launch it yet
  • @boost331
Well the engine in mine blew shortly after i sold it at about 35k miles. I also had a sponsorship deal with one of the premier mazda only shops in the USA. They sold forged blocks and internals on a regular basis for these things. They blow motors like crazy and then the dicks at mazda dont warranty them. I liked the car at first, but it ended up being a POS. Mazda sure cant make a 4cyl turbo like everyone else. Subaru mitsubishi, hyundai, hell even chevy make way better small FI engines.

how many idiots are gunna post sayin sumth about popcorn? cmon thyre not even original jesus. and it is optimal for drag racing but my gen2 is a roll monster, fwd is terrible in 1/4 mile. thyre good highway cars and decent for autoX. my two step is set for 3300 and its perfect on my falken street/strips and i LOVE the flat foot shifting. goin to a gt35r next spring :)

Hmm, a major design issue on this engine, they race it in the open wheel championship and it makes 450 bhp, yeah of course its not stock, and i find 300 bhp from a 23000 USD car damned impressive, i worked at a Mazda dealership, sold literally 50 or 60 of these, not one blown engine, it is the sort of car that attracts idiots, i just had a guy in who blew up his Honda Civic, and those things are tough. I believe you should stick to your Mustangs.
