Destiny 2: The Witch Queen - All The Witness Cutscenes & Quest Dialogue [Complete]

The Witch Queen expansion gave us our very first look at the true face of Darkness: The Witness, otherwise known as "The Entity" and "The Voice in the Darkness". Although we didn't get to see much of the Witness, this creature commands the Pyramid Ship Fleets and was responsible for our Collapse. The Witness, with the aid of it's first Disciple, Rhulk, would trick the Hive into eternal subjugation under the Darkness and the Sword Logic. The Witness has one goal: ushering in the Final Shape of the universe, which is Nothing...an endless void where only the strongest survive, as is the nature of the Sword Logic. For now, The Witness will continue to recruit disciples, such as Emperor Calus and likely even Eramis. This creature will serve as the main and ultimate antagonist of the Light and Darkness Saga for Destiny. The Witness is coming back to finish what it started, and we are going to war with The Witness in Lightfall and The Final Shape.

The multi voice dialog is so creepy and empowering to me. The masculine and feminine voices combined really give it a sense of omnipotent and transcendent. Love how bungie did this

4:40 God there’s just something so good about the delivery of that line by the Witness, like it’s just such good ear candy even though it’s coming from an entity that wants our complete and utter annihilation.

The witness is like so calm and collected but creepy at the same time.

The witness has a really cool voice, he is so hyped up and I really hope bungie can do an amazing story with him!

What chills me about the Witness is how.... unconcerned it acts about everything.

As tired as I am of all aliens being basically human, there's a lot to be said for using a human base to make the uncanny aspects really pop like with the Witness.

There is a point in the campaign where eris says "Mara sov encountered the entity that commands the pyramids. She said it's mind spoke louder than any other she has heard. A cacophony of thought." Now thinking about the appearance of the witness and the other faces pouring out of his head it's almost like all the thoughts/voices are literally erupting out of his head. pretty cool character design if you ask me. I think we will end up learning that the witness isn't really a single entity but more like a hive mind or has absorbed many other beings intelligence kind of like a gravemind or something...

holy fuck. way to not disappoint with years of hype for the darkness. jesus christ. blew my expectations out of the water.

One of the cool things I recently learned is that the vex are considered the original "final shape". The only reason that changed is due to the introduction of the paracausal abilities of the light and dark (i.e. classes). If there were no guardians and disciples, the vex would eventually become the final shape (i.e. ultimate lifeform)

the witness cutscene now gives me PTSD knowing that room he's in is the Macrocosm/Planetarium from the Root of Nightmares raid because every time I enter that room its with a LFG that has no idea what they're doing and where you get to see people who have commitment issues.

The Witness really strikes within me some strong Cenobite(Pinhead) vibes with how… above life and death he seems.

I love the design and voice of the witness. The overlapping of male and female voice. The body looking feminine but the face look masculine. Its just so interesting to see and look at and listen to.

Yo the original reveal of the witness still gives me chills. Seeing these planets that vanished, slowly realizing who the silouhette must be, for him ti then finally turn over and see someting so utterly different and strange to the world of destiny

Remember the last mission from Season of Arrivals, when as Eris says "stay still, I will fetch you.", then we get teleported into a room with a Pyramid and every race except Vex are there worshiping it? I consider that dialogue to be The Witness speaking through our Ghost, as well as then any other time they have done that beginning in Shadowkeep. Rhulk says that the Witness offers us opportunities and that we squander them. Was Europa an opportunity? Did we (Light + Darkness wielding Risen) suppressing House Dark (Darkness wielding Eliksni) contribute to the Final Shape?

The withness is probably the best character design i have ever seen. He will probably be weak ingame like all story mode bosses have, but he looks really good.
