Mike's Intex Pool & Deck Update

I love the landscaping around this pool. The deck is awesome. Above ground pools usually aren’t this awesomely placed. Great job.

I know this is an older video at this point but wanted to say who cares what everyone else thinks! We’re getting ready to put up an Intex Ultra XTR in the next few weeks and I hadn’t seen your video yet but I’m going about it in the same way. I built a patio first to house my grills, I just got my land leveled and a retaining wall built. Pool is the next piece and next year maybe I will spend additional money to upgrade the pump, add decking, add furniture, whatever! Not everyone has the means to throw thousands of dollars at something that just adds to the comfort of your home. Too often we think we have to have everything right now. I’d much rather take my time, do it right, not kill myself with debt, and still be able to enjoy my pool even if it’s not pristine YET! You’ve got an excellent set up. Be proud of it!

It gets hot within a split second of turning on the unit. The build quality is exceptionally good and is safe to be around kids and pets. This one is super quiet and can be kept on while in office meetings, my wife loved it. It shows the temperature right on the unit which is very useful and adding a rotating feature helps to heat up the surrounding, so other people will not fight with you for heat. It is right as described in the description..!! Definitely recommend!!

Dollar tree foam pool noodles are what we use in between the open gaps for the wasp issues! Easy to cut to fit the space. Also easy to put in and remove plus super cheap

It’s freaking beautiful. I love it. You did a great job. I have an Intex pool. This is our 3 rd year and we don’t take ours down though the winter. We winterize the pool and just take care of it. It’s been great. My husband hard plumed it and we upgraded the pump and filter, we got the Hayward skimmer like yours. Did a pretty good size deck around half of it with all the landscaping…we also had to do it in stages. It took us 3 years to get where we are at now. We did build our deck last year. Anyway, you did a fabulous job. Hell with the assholes.

As a recently retired remodeler, I think you did a great job..!! I have done large decks and screen decks with deck covers, but I have recently been widowed and my new girlfriend set up an Intex 18’ x 48” pool. This is not her first pool, so she brought her big pump and sand filter…the water cleared up practically overnight. But we have to have some sort of landing and steps asap because she also has an upgraded ladder that goes on the inside. So when she comes back from the grocery store I will make sure she sees your video. Awesome waterfall and skimmer upgrades. Love your deck design….prices are getting better in 2023, but basically you have to bite the bullet if you want something built. So your concept of upgrades is very good too. Thank you for your time and effort.

This looks amazing , thanks for sharing. My husband builds houses for a living and has even built our gazebo and wedding arch. I can’t wait to show him this deck. We needed a small one for our 20X40 bestway pool and this is a great set up 🥰

Love it, and I totally understand doing bits at a time. Not everyone can just fork out for everything or exactly what they want at one time.
