As a South African I am not sure what I'm eating anyway, our apples have wax,our bannanas are hard like rocks our orange s are so dried out,and we cannot afford organic!

If the fruits and vegetables look worst that means they are expired already which the expiry date on American fruits and vegetables can be not true sometimes. That doesn´t mean the fruits and vegetables are fake.

Lack of knowledge and laziness in researching about those situations among Americans was the main reason such confusion and conspiracies exist (Im not saying Americans are dumb)

And also side note, when fruits or vegetables are stretchy and rubbery, it means that the fruit or vegetables has been expired, so to conclude this, whenever you see a fruit or vegetable that seems rubbery or a watermelon bursting, it just means that the fruit or vegetable has expired.
