DISABLED DOESN'T MEAN UNABLE | MOVING FORWARD (with Rett Syndrome)

Published 2021-05-06
Our daughter has Rett Syndrome. It is a rare neurological disorder that affects every aspect of her life. But no matter what, she will not let that get in her way. Our stop at the Badlands reinforced that. This was physically demanding, it was hot, it was new, the ground's texture was variable - all things that we would have thought would have made this difficult for Maggie, but, she put her head down and we followed her lead in a show of her true grit. Just a reminder that disabled doesn't mean unable.

Oh, I love to see parents who encourage their children to do all that they are able to do! My parents and neurologist do the same for me and today I am a home health aide in spite of epilepsy. 😃 Praise God!
