Triple language switch prank. My friends don't know I speak their language. See how they react when I suddenly speak to them fluently. ‪@KevinWoo‬ and ‪@foodwith‬

Most of the faces are probably a reflection of "If she knows that many of MY languages, what have I been doing with my life?!?" Simply brilliant, I wish I was fluent in at least ONE of those languages...

😂 My matrix glitched when I saw you eating and chatting with Kevin Woo. Small world. 😂

It was the “whyyyyy” that had me in tears when he discovered you were enrolled in cram school in Japan 😭😂

6:43 Omg hahaha it’s the “whyyyyyyy” for me. So freaking precious 😂

When I first found your channel, I was stuck in the U.S. trying to get back to Japan for my job. Your videos kept me connected to Japan. Then after finally returning to Japan I met you in person in 2021. You’ve learned so many other languages since then. You’ve become like a diplomat.

It's incredible how many different people you can connect and relate to simply by learning there language. I enjoyed you teaming up and becoming a dynamic duo to suprise unsuspecting people and putting a smile on their face in the process. When Anming speaks everyone stops to listen. 😄 That was very kind of the man to clean your luggage and expect nothing in return. I'm glad you insisted on him taking the tip for his hard work, he deserves it! 💜

I started to get into K-pop and asian dramas, probably like 2years ago and so, I wanted to start to learn Korean, so I can start to have some understanding and I like watching your channel and your interaction with native speakers in all languages. I'm trying not to be shy with even speaking and went to a local beauty supply store run by Koreans and tried my very, very basic intro convo and the lady just made such a big deal, 😆, telling everyone in the store, I knew Korean 😂, I'm not fluent, but she understood, and I was nervous, shy and proud at the same time, by the compliments and she couldn't get over my native sounding pronunciation😅 so you definitely inspire me✊🏾.

I spent a few years in the Far East. I discovered the people are amazing. They are polite. They are genuine. They are courteous. And they are willing to experience new things from a foreigner. I’d go back if I could. Good luck in your travels… And yes, I subscribed.

I'm English and learning Spanish and finding it difficult. The Spanish use the Roman alphabet and many of the words are very similar in English because of a lot of Latin in both languages. This lady is I suspect not just a hard worker when it comes to learning languages but also very gifted. Also very watchable 🥰
  • The cleaning guy was amazing, so kind and polite. Makes the world look a better place.
  • I just love 🥰watching your videos--it's so awesome to see how everyone interacts with one another when they find out you know their language! Big smiles on their faces! It also inspires me to continue learning all the languages I've taken up. I'll check out Pimsleur as soon as I can afford to do so.

Hi, I'm in awe! I'm in my 70''s from Ireland, trying to learn Spanish for the 1st time! Finding it incredibly hard! So, seeing how you can master such complex languages gives me hope. Also, I follow other sites giving an insight into typical Japanese culture and everyday life! It is so different to Irish and Western culture and endlessly fascinating! To my eternal shame I can't speak Irish! I love the reaction videos. They are humourous and heart-warming. Remember what the lady said. You ARE still young😂! If you ever decide to visit Ireland, check out the Irish Language & if you ever do come I'd love to be able to shake your hand like the pleasantly shocked people you meet. Best wishes and may your site continue to flourish! Cead mile failte!

That one woman looked terrified when you told her you'd been to every prefecture in Japan. The Asians seem like very nice people. As someone who has been here from almost the beginning, I want to say to those passing throuugh, "Please subscribe and like.!" Alyssa works harrd bringing us these wonderful videos showing us these Asian cultures and their reactions to an American who speaks their languages.

The look on the face of the Vietnamese vendor when you started speaking Vietnamese to him was priceless. It was also funny when you started speaking Mandarin, Korean and Japanese at the restaurant and almost shocked the people you were sitting with.
  • @steven7113
I love the different languages and cultures. I only speak 2 languages right now I would definitely love to learn more. I like the joy on peoples faces when you can communicate with them. They have a look of appreciation.

NGL the scream I scrumpt when I saw Kevin, I could have auditioned for a remake of Home Alone! "KEVIN!"
  • @JosesRants
This happens to me too. I’m a Juban (Jewish-Cuban) when I speak Spanish to People of Latin America or Spain they sometimes look at me twice and answer in Bad English, and I double down and answer them in Spanish. It also happens when I do that in Portuguese to Brazilians or when in Portugal. This is why I love your posts I understand and feel what you feel. ❤❤❤

You are such an inspiration, and you're literally bringing cultures together. Well done!

You and your friends make my day with great content. I feel it lifts me up, thank you.

How are your language studies going? Have you tried investing some real time and resources into it or are you still doing 5 minutes a day on Duolingo? 😄
