  • Thank you so much for taking the time to reply, I’m forced to take the plunge and try and hope for the best as it’s a situation I’m faced with. 😊
  • I had these questions on my mind the last few days and scrolling through the YT home page I saw your video. I guess my mind antenna resonated with the universe and it provided.

Dave you do an excellent job of answering ham radio operator questions! KC9QVE Marion,Indiana

Thank you for sharing your knowledge Dave. Bret/AC0AE

Thank you so much for this Dave. 👍🏼👍🏼

How about running two 400 MAX cables into the shack via the same PVC pipe that gives my coax entry to my shack? One is for a 10m Vibroplex ENDFED verticle wire on an extendable fiberglass pole, and the other leads to my 2m/70cm Diamond X-300 antenna mounted on a Harbor Freight flag pole. Both radios may be on, but only one is transmitting at any time.

So 80, 40, and 20 meter single band dipoles can be placed within 1 ft of each other ?
  • @bigdEnergy666
What if 1 antenna is vertical, and the other is horizontal?
  • @kevingary7018
The far field of an antenna is the region where the shape of the antenna pastern is independent of distance. So your'e far enough away that the pattern is no longer affected by ground or objects - a good thing to know when studying for the Extra Class Exam.
  • @brucestarr4438
If they're parallel, over/under, won't the bottom one act as a reflector for the upper one? I know we do that sometimes for a NVIS antenna.
  • @researchcapt
I have a10 meter and a 20 meter dipole that are parallel to each other and about 5 feet apart. Is that bad? If bad, does this affect reception as well?
  • @IndyLocator
Hey Dave, What about having an EFHW (inverted L) near a vertical HF multiband (Butternut HF9V or DX commander) antenna? Will they effect each other negatively? How far apart should they be?
  • @rodkirt9273
How far apart should the minimum distance be ?
  • Would a loop / halo horizontally polarized 2m antenna interfere with a vertically polarized 2m antenna?
