Lmao I'm not a Pat Maroon fan but that was awesome how he randomly joined in and took part in that chirp fest

Biz is right. We hate Muruello in AZ. He didn't go to the game because he was worried about safety.

If you’re not a hockey fan, try watching the playoffs. By far the most entertaining playoffs of any sport in the world

Hockey works in the desert. Meruelo doesn’t

The other thing I heard about the failed Tempe project was there were a lot of local unions who were heavily supporting the no vote because there was gonna be out-of-state labor used. Pretty much fumbled this at every step.

Why hockey is the best sport. These guys can laugh and joke with each other. Most other sports the result would be gunfire.

Biz is what hockey marketing has needed for decades. Hope he has a long and lucrative media career.

What folks don't understand. Salt Lake they claim is 1.4 million, surprised me I have seen numbers at 1.8-2 million crammed into the Salt Lake valley but whatever. What does not get pointed out is where the Delta center is and the planned MLB baseball stadium will be is just 5 or 6 miles (maybe 10 minutes) from the northern border of Salt Lake co. which where you then enter into another 1 million people outside the Salt Lake county. In the south part of the valley Salt Lake county people are spilling over into Utah county into areas that was desert and we used to ride our dirt bikes and shoot jackrabbits just a couple decades back but Utah county where Provo is located adds another 500k people. So we are actually talking closer to somewhere in the 2.7 to 3 million range. It is growing very fast but not so sure it is a good thing. Not many places to build here anymore and where are all these people going to live? Salt Lake valley is big but not that big. Landlocked on the east side by the Wasatch mountains and on the west side the Oquirrh mountains. Very different place from my teenage yrs of the 70's.

Barstool should put a Coyotes deal together. It would go well with their Bowl Game.

When the sonics moved to OKC the NBA did a similair deal to return to Seattle in five years. That deal has now passed. NBA Expansion probably happens in 2026 about 10+ years after the Sonics relocated.

I understand the anger, but 27 years, 8 owners and the state could never approve an arena. Murello doesn't get all the blame here. Boomer retirees who didn't want an arena, and idiots like the Scottsdale mayor can also take some blame.
