My Brother Interviews Me?? Beginner Disc Golf Tips | Birdie Talks Ep 6 F9

Published 2024-06-18
What if we had the chance to peek behind the curtain, and get to know some folks who have a vital role to play within the sport of Disc Golf? These could be heroes of the sport who helped us get to this point, or folks who are going to help shape the direction of where our sport goes? If there's one thing I know about Disc Golfers though...it's that we want to see more disc golf. Thus the dream of Birdie Talks was born! 18 holes, 18 questions, 1 mediocre host, and 1 amazing guest. Today we’ve got a unique opportunity with my Brother! Jake!! However this is not his Birdie Talk, he wanted to take a chance to let yall see ME be interviewed! So we flipped the script to show what I would answer to some of these questions! What are my answers?? You'll have to watch to find out!!

Have you heard of the Birdie Fam? It's a community of disc golfers who are striving to excel and improve together. We are going to talk about your struggles and plateaus in a safe and healthy environment. When we come together as a family, we'll grow together as people. So if you're ready to take that next step in your disc golf game, and start improving with the greatest community in Disc Golf then head on over to the Patreon website!!

I’m a “faithful” stick-arounder. Even though having played for 1 year I still need all the advice, I’m here for the man. The man, the myth, the legend, lover of pigs far and wide, Robbie C! Whether it’s tips for improvement, fun challenges, or bringing us along on his own journey and struggles, I’m here for it all 👍 I’m super glad that foundation and Robbie joined forces so he gets to be involved in more content. Edit: my favorite Robbie C content is when he battles/does challenges with other players. I like watching groups having fun and playing together more than a single person playing alone, but both are great.

Yea, a common issue with content creation for training / documenting journey in helpful instruction style. I definitely am ready for more advanced tier training from teh Robbie C channel, perhaps seeing a 1 2 3 level playlist build out. Categorized what you have already and make the playlists, then map out things to fill in gaps you notice that you think are worth the video etc. Cheers!

Robbie, great shot man. It's little moments like that, we remember for ages, and stokes the fire. Keep the videos coming man.

watching channel for about a year, playing for 3. I stick around because: 1. your instruction still helps me find little tweaks I can make in my game. 2. I like that your content isn't "clinical" its more relatable to the average player, not just the super serious "wanna be pros". 3. Its entertaining and helps me get through boring midnight shift.

I love the content on your channel Robbie. I started 8 months ago back in October and am far from knowing everything. I feel your channel has everytrhing it needs. I look forward to watching your new videos every week

Kia Ora, I’ve been playing for about 3 years but I watch every video just for the entertainment value and sometimes find a different way to think about parts of my game
  • @rjreliv
Love me some Robbie C content! I love sending your videos to people so I don’t have to be the in to tell them
  • @rub1xbtw
Yooo I met you this day with my buddy Joshua and he was stoked that you subbed to his channel! Such a cool guy!

MISTBORN! If you want long epic fantasy, the Way of Kings by the same author
  • I for one will sub to Robbie C Advanced Disc golf and will still watch this channel too :D I dont know if it is an advanced thing or beginner thing, but I would love to see a video where you throw three or four possible lines per shot. Throughout your videos you talk a lot about your error or about this obstacle you are worried about or how this disc would perform not optimally. I would love to see these shots, because line selection is very difficult for me.

  • @cheffreywv6111
What other plastics do you throw with the pig besides the R PRO?
  • I have a question. My girlfriend's daughter is 18 years old and I've bought her some discs but she's not really strong. What is a good weight to try out with her. She's not doing well with the current ones she has now. Which are mid 170s. She has a 160 Dragon and a 161 Aviar. I was looking at low 150s or even 140s. She shows some decent throws here and there.

I, too, have a brother but can't even get him to consider disc golf. Any advice?
