Jerry Pritchett was part of the commentary team, and he mentioned that he once opened with 960 lbs. He's one of the deadlift greats! (He did a fantastic job commentating, too!)

Mitch Hooper's lockout is looking a LOT better than before - every day he gets more dangerous and can't wait to see him at WSM! Like even for the weights that were clearly requiring max effort his form didn't even flinch

Hooper looked really strong on these deadlifts! I was surprised Pavlo was having issues with the DL but it seemed something was wrong with his knee. Hope he didn't get injured :S Thank you for the upload Martins and Romark!

I didn't think Rob was going to get that 966, but he did. Pretty awesome💪 My best deadlift was 395, I can't even imagine what these weights are feeling like. Hahaha

This just makes it that much more impressive that Haack can deadlift this weight on a Texas deadlift bar with no straps, or hitching and being like half these guys weight

I guess those 972 and 974 kg deadlifts on the elephant bar will not be replicated for a long time. Thor was a monster and he even picked up the 501kg elephant bar to his knees.
