Tough race. Reminded us all of how long and lonely a 1x race can be. If you’re looking for a technique gain, the bumpy water might have got you flexing your arms a bit at the catch, which has to take it out of you in a long race. Other guy had a distinct straight-arm hang at the catch. Apologies if I’m the hundredth bankside expert to mention this. Good luck in the 2x and all your future races. Have loved watching your journey.

Brilliant effort Cam - looked really good off the start but coming off the island forced a bit of extra steering watching the live feed which probably didn’t help. I don’t know what your man from Spain had for breakfast but he was on it all the way up the course and never really settled until he had that elusive gap. Don’t think you could had done much more than you did especially after the 23/24 training and recent results. That all aside, brilliant result for Big Dog Jacko - I bet your glad you have him fresh(ish) in the 2x in the morning race before he has to recover for round 2 in the evening. Best of luck to you both tomorrow - have a few extra Wheatbix first!!😎

Great Race! The first half looked really good then you lost it a little bit and the other guy took off. Anyways good race! And fingers crossed for the double tomorrow. Henley is very special, enjoy the atmosphere. No Pims tonight! Hopefully neither tomorrow night!

I never thought of you as that - I thought influencers were people who made money telling teenagers of all ages what clothes and makeup to wear ;)

Well rowed i have seen de spanish rower all year in de spanish nashionals and he is a monster but how you have raced and dominated de ferst half of the race is incredibol i wish you good luck in de 2x, its a powerfol combination good luck
