💃🏻When I lived in NYC as a burlesque performer, I regularly performed at Employees Only (Sunday nights) and The Backroom (Monday nights). Employees Only is amazing - they treat their performers really well, like a family, pay well and always serve you dinner and drinks on the house (this is extremely rare), often the owner will come and keep you company too, truly a family treatment 😍As for The Backroom - those were my favorite gigs! Please go there on a Monday night - they have a live jazz band 🎺and people are swing dancing all dressed up in the 20's attire - you will love that! Also, they didn't let people in if they were wearing real fur, which I thought was badass. Please give it another chance - Monday nights are truly magical at The Backroom❤ Bathtub Gin 🍸 has great burlesque shows too where the final act is IN the bathtub 🛁 - a sight to behold, truly!!! I believe Burlesque performance is a must for a true prohibition experience - hope you get to experience that and report back! Thanks for this video, it made me very nostalgic 🥹
