I had no idea Vlad was such a capable administrator. It's a bit overshadowed by his love of pointy sticks. Great video!
-
Vlad: "I sent you a man's head plz reply"
-
So the real Vlad the Impaler is more interesting than the vampire stories he influenced.
-
Damn, what he did to Dan III was utter humiliation and must have been really satisfying for Vlad. Having the murderer of your father and brother defeated in a duel, then having him dig his own grave in front of his men before cutting his head and impaling them all. That was some "Count of Monte Cristo level" revenge.
-
Vlad the Impaler... Well, this is going to be brutal... gets popcorn
-
I'm so glad you picked Vlad. More Eastern European middle ages please.
-
Humiliating your father's killer by forcing him to dig his own grave in front of his men, Sneaking into an Ottoman fortress, assassinating the guards and eliminating the garrison... Man this deserves to be turned into a movie series - its literally the Romanian version of Game of Thrones.
-
When you are so OP you act as your own personal champion, administrator, and spy.
-
"When I first came here, this was all swamp. Everyone said I was daft to build a castle on a swamp, but I built it all the same, just to show them!" -Vlad Tepes
-
I love that you are creating videos about important battles of Romanian People. Thank you so much for that sir!
-
I live in Targoviste and it's so cool to walk around the city, looking at castle ruins and think: "Damn these have been here for hundreds of years. This is where Vlad lived"
-
The real life Vlad is far more terrifying than any vampire adaptation I've seen.
-
Vlad Tepes was a real badass and had balls of steal to enter personally in the enemies city or camp.
-
i really like the fact that you tried to say the romanian names corectly. keep it up
-
That pronunciation of targoviste was spot on, especially for a non native, well done
-
a king who fights his own battles... that says a lot about the man
-
I love how multiple times he actually dressed incognito himself to infiltrate the enemy. So badass.
-
Ivan the Terrible : I am the cruelest person alive. Vlad the Impaler : Hold my beer.
-
You gota admit - walking into your enemy's camp with just a handful of men, telling them to lower their defenses, is quite ballsy for a prince of all people to.
