Seeing the video start with CCR rhythm is definitely going to attract my interest! A very informative lesson I believe!

I know that Marty says this is for beginners but it is really for anyone who plays. I see alot of people who have been playing for a long time that could use work and practice on the strumming (me included). Kevin O'Rourke

I've been playing for just a few years now and I'd say at least half of what I know how to play is because of Marty Schwartz! Thank you Marty! You are great at breaking things down!

Hey Marty, I just want to say as a player who's probably at the half way point between immediate and advanced, this is really great to go back to basics every now and then. Strumming patterns are something people really should start adding to their day to day practice routines. Alot of people who follow your channel and been playing for a number of years will probably overlook this strumming pattern video because its just a case of "Ahh nah I dont need to see his videos on basics" But i really appreciated this one alot, strumming patterns isn't something i've really practiced hard at, it seems to just come naturally to me as i'm learning songs or just mucking around, but I think i might start adding these patterns to my practice routine. Thanks a bunch man, be great to see some more videos on blues licks in the near future too. Thanks Marty, Stay safe Brutha!!!

Hey Marty, thank you for the Beginner Guitar Strumming Patterns that we must know. Greatly Appreciated! I was reading an article in the May 2020 Guitar Player magazine on Celisse Henderson. She mentioned she was learning guitar and that she searched 12 bar blues on YouTube and found great videos by you. You should be very proud of how much you have inspired and helped so many guitarist reach their potential. Although for me, My goal is to just to have my that my wife not cringe when I play :-). If you did not see the article, let me know and I can send you a PDF copy.

Awesome lesson! I often feel it’s my right hand that needs so much more work than the left. Thank you!

Hey Marty. I’ve recently got back to playing guitar, after around an 8 year hiatus. I couldn’t seem to progress and after an injury to my fret hand I just stopped playing. I’d just like to thank you for inspiring me to keep plugging away and working hard. Your tutorials are very informative and light hearted , and it’s made learning fun. In the last few months watching your channel I’ve got further than I did before and I’m really enjoying myself again. 🙌🙌 thanks again

Hey I just wanted to thank you! I’ve been playing guitar since December of last you because of you. Thx to you I now know chords and strumming and songs. Thank you so much for bringing music into my life☺️
  • Thank you Marty for all the lessons you post for beginners and without trying to sell me an advanced course! I have a couple weeks now and believe I am making a small amount of progress. But I like the encouragement you give to not give up because it is a long process.

Marty, this is by far one of the most fun and helpful videos for my beginner skills. It satisfies rhythm, the fun of strumming, and finally with the Jack Johnson shuffle at the end, it feels like a real accomplishment!! Very appreciated! ...and uplifting, joyful! Needed for times like now!!
  • I don't even play old rock but years ago I learned all the 80 and 70s hits we all know and love and I think it's always smart for us to try other styles. As my own music I'd say it's like a alternative blues folk but I love how random jazz is. It let's u feel the music instead of only note structure.

Love it! Thanks 😊 I have been following since the beginning of the year! My brother in law got me a guitar for Christmas. I signed up for your beginner course in February and you have been a fantastic teacher 🤗
