Corporations strive to keep profits up, costs down. End of story.

I was without power for almost 7 days from a local rain and wind storm in Dallas end of May. It wasnt as hot as it is now, but it wasnt pleasant. The cities and government are showing they cant properly take care of things. It isnt like it once was or has been. Everything has gone array in the last 4 years. We all better get a handle on this because it's likely to get worse as officials fail more and more to make proper decisions, judgements, and policy.

The outage map is inaccurate. Other people like us have no power, but the map shows that we do! When we call Centerpoint, we wait on hold forever, only to get a rep that says that the map might not be updated and there might be inaccuracies, but that they are getting to us. I’ve seen news people interview others like us. For all we know, there might be double or triple the outages they are claiming!

Doesn’t Texas want to leave the union? I think they should start now by not asking for any federal assistance

Quick search towards weather report. I would prefer not to have 16 hour shifts on a cherry picker. Take care of your people - yes, all of them.

So for the secessionist movement in Texas. What infrastructure and services, or even just PLANS do you have in place to take care of this kind of damage or worse that will inevitibly happen when you're an independent Republic who "don't need no FEMA?" Elaborate.
  • Will the Associated Press do multiple articles about how Greg Abbot should resign? Greg Abbott and Ted Cruz leave when the going gets tough.

stop whining. Your Governor is having a lovely time on his holiday
  • Not the best time for a cosplay governor. This situation needs leadership. The lack of leadership in the GOP is most obvious in a crisis. Maybe stick to sports commentary bud.

Cruelty begets cruelty governor. You get what you give. Texas gave no comfort and you will receive no comfort.
