Sora's Sacrifice

It took me 15 years to notice… but he smiles at Donald and Goofy because that’s what they told him. No frowning. No sad face. Even in what he thought were his final moments, Sora never forgot any of his friends.

Sora's sacrifice signals Roxas birth

The one thing that will always get me about this scene isn't Donald's screaming at Sora to come back, or even knowing how much it must have hurt for Goofy to see his own friend give up his own life. It's that Kairi wakes up, and the first thing she sees is Sora sacrificing himself for her. And as she screams out his name, all he does is give her one last smile in his "final" moments. It's such a small detail, yet it's so damn heart-wrenching.

“SORAAAA!!!” “COME BACK, SORAAAA!!!”

Seeing this happen the first time, and with Donald and Goofy's reactions, it was tear jerking Seeing him sacrifice himself. While seeing all the various characters who made a similar sacrifice, this one will always hit me hardest, even harder than Ven, Roxas, Aqua, Terra, Riku, Xion, and all the others who sacrificed themselves, cause this shows just how selfless Sora truly is, willing to become a Heartless just to save Kairi and give the world's a chance at survival. Sora, I will never forget what you have given up, just to save your friends, and everyone else. Both here and in KH3.

Yeah Kairi, ya boy unlocked himself just to get your heart back to where it was supposed to be. Fuckin' legend.

Funny thing is i play this song for my son as he sleeps and it puts the biggest smile on my face ☺️

This brings back the old memories😔 When we were just kids😫

When I asked for Sly Raccoon for christmas because I didn't really know what game I wanted, I didn't even know kingdom hearts existed, and I was told they couldn't find a copy of Sly Raccoon and got me kingdom hearts. I played that game religious even did new playthroughs to experience it all over again, I'm forever thankful for that. This game is amazing.

In my head, I can hear Donald screaming "Sora! Come back Sora!" and it makes me sad… T-T

I just want to point out that Sora was more than ready and willing to sacrifice himself if it meant saving his friends. He didn't know if it would work, but he did it anyway. Maybe not the smartest approach, but that is selflessness taken to the next level. That is something I will always remember and respect.

This track is going to mean so much more on the 29th.

And now Sora is gone again after KH3.

If he had died here, this would have Been the most heartbreaking sacrifice of all time !!!
