Agree David - It is always about the business value -- technology hypes come and go and we will settle to a new normal. However the focus should be on foundation models (not just LLMs but also Large Data Models , Large or small Process models - focused on a specific organization needs .
  • Yo Dave! Shark jumpin'? Nah, it's them bigwig corps tryin' to tech it up without fixin' real biz probs, ya feel me? Gen AI's like this magic wand, man - slap it on anything and BOOM! It's all rainbows and unicorns for bizness and peeps and robo-stuff. Anyone sayin' it's overhyped is smokin' somethin' fierce, bro. We're just warmin' up this party! 🔥🎉 I'd bet my grandma's dentures that them suits whinin' about too much Gen AI talk are gonna be cryin' in their cornflakes when they get left in the dust. Losers, am I right? Sure, the moolah ain't rollin' in yet, but give it a hot minute. Prices gonna drop like it's hot, speed's gonna zoom zoom, and we'll get some sick new tech setups. The real deal is gettin' your Gen AI groove on NOW, homies. Figure out your thang, then work that data like a boss. Peace out, AI warriors! 🤘😎🚀
  • We are 1.5 yrs into this transition. We are only starting to understand how it might be used. Also, why would anyone build a model from scratch when you can leverage/finetune Llama 3.1 for free? I am pretty confident that he has no sources to back up any of the claims he makes about costs, for instance. This is basically jargon-filled speculation.
