🥒 ABOUT BEFRS:
Hey, I’m Sonny! I’m from the US but I’ve been living in Asia for 10 years and started making food and travel videos to document my experiences. I travel to different parts of the world, hunting down and documenting the most unique food each country has to offer.

If you see any factual food errors in my videos, please feel free to politely let me know in the comments. I'm a huge fan of trying different, interesting foods in each country. My show is from a Western point of view, but more importantly, MY point of view. It is not meant to offend any person or culture. Peace!

“We lived a simple life before, we can always go back to that…We can live with whatever we have up here.” That was such an impactful statement. Which makes a lot of sense.
  • @vigneshreach
Had a great feel when you said "It's not just a tattoo it's a story, the ultimate souvenir, and a badge of honor" ... Way to go sonny...

One thing I love about this guy is he’s always so respectful. You just know he goes to places to learn about their culture.
  • @Wapulz1989
Maybe I haven't seen all the documentaries or vlogs about Apo Wang Od, but of all the videos I've seen, this is the first time she was interviewed face to face, and she seems very engaging and happy. ❤
  • @Simplyjordann

I remember in middle school, we had a new girl named Ricci (Richie) who came from the Philippines. She was gorgeous, intelligent, and SO cheerful. I remember when she brought this ziplock bag of what looked like shredded string cheese for lunch. I asked for some, and she told me it was squid. Like, squid jerky. It was so weird. And memorable. And I have craved it a few times in my life since then. All I had to give her was a lousy peanut butter and jelly sandwich.
  • Why am I shedding tears while she speaks and tattoos. God bless her and you as well sonny.
  • @Simplyjordann

  • @FrankieFitness
That lady is amazing she definitely helped that village with a way to make money by those beautiful traditional tattoos
  • @MattFromAmerica
I am showing some of us here in Buscalan your video right now. I just had my palanus in Buscalan with my now fiance/wife. She is one of the tattoo artists in the village. I am wondering if we missed you while having our first palanus near Anunang. I met my now fiance last year when getting my tattoos from the village. It's surreal that they are all my family now. The people of Buscalan are absolutely amazing, I am so happy to be of them now. Whayu lawhi
  • Brave you(for eating Etag)!, Funny you(for injecting humor)!, and So Lucky You(for having met and had dinner face-to-face with our iconic Apo Whang Od)!!!
