This sounds like it will get bad. For the police chief to say, they want everyone to prepare "in case we cannot get to you in time" is a clear indicator that things aren't going to get better.

None of this information brings comfort or peace. What would have been encouraging would have been a prayer for safety during this PSA. Prayer changes everything. Praying now that the Holy Spirit would bring peace to every family that puts their lives in the hands of Jesus, God be with Corpus Christi.

Prayers from Florida! I was there on a temporary job assignment when Hanna hit! Hanna truly did take Corpus by surprise! I pray that Beryl doesn't do the same thing, but I wouldn't be surprised if it will be at least a CAT 2. That chairman stated that there's a another system right behind Beryl.... That's not true.

All i got was, "we are here with resources, we are in communication with" lots of others, expect gale force winds, flooding for Corpus Christy, check on each other, we will continue to provide updates (did not update one danged thing), best of luck. And the press conference ends. Nice to know what I did not need to know. A good prayer would do far more good.

We went to sleep during Celia that was supposed to hit Louisiana and woke up in a major hurricane in Port Aransas.

Preparedness includes checking all four tires on your cars and make sure you carry a spare tire or a loose tire to install on your wheel incase you get a flat tire. A lot of newer cars are sold without spare tires and get left behind because they don't have a replacement tire. Check your tires, a lot of cars drive around with bad wheel alignments and the tires wearout prematurely and have tire blowouts.
