Listed on Depop, but never sold anything. After 3 months of no sales, I closed it down. My Mercari sales have doubled per month.

Have sold on Depop but that was years ago and I've said it before and am saying it again... buyer fees have not hurt my Mercari sales at all! Love it!

I don't what you mean by "we saw it on Mercari" because my Mercari sales have never been better! Ever since the switch to no selling fees I have had STEADY sales on Mercari and good sales too!

I am sad Mercari did this! Has really hurt my sales. I dont't sell on depop. I was thinking about crosslisting over there sick of the bookkeeping. So, nope, probably?

I have news for all buyers, whether the seller pays a selling fee or the buyer pays selling fee, the buyer ultimately ALWAYS pays the selling fees. ALL costs of business are included in the price you pay (unless someone who is a seller doesn't know what they are doing). Bubble wrap goes up, buyer pays more. Postage goes up, buyer pays more, selling fees on either end go up, buyer pays more.

I crosslist to Depop. People have made offers on items that I have accepted. However none have ever followed through and paid. So now actual sales.

I sell on Depop. Out of my four platforms it’s number 3. Poshmark and eBay usually duke it out for the top and then Depop and Mercari. I do have to say though I have not seen a change with Mercari sales since they made the change. I have stayed consistent and I like not having to pay the fee so it worked out better than I could’ve hoped!

I try to sell on Depop. I accept offers and buyers accept my offers constantly, but the buyers never pay! I wish Depop would have made offers binding instead of this. I'll probably never make any sales now with the added fees on the buyer! 🤦♀️🤷♀️

Not even sure if you can sell on there in Canada and would be nice to have free fees for listing stuff on sites.

I started on Depop around the first of the year. It's not the best for me but I make some sales. I also don't post as frequently because it's slower for me.

Although we see what happened with mercari, Depop did implement this months ago on UK. If they had good results there maybe that's why they decided to roll it out here next. Depop is at least one global marketplace app instead of being separate like Mercari US and Mercari JP. On depop, US and UK can buy from each other and people also use it from Canada, Australia, and anywhere else in the world. With other countries, they collect payment via Paypal so the fees aren't changing for them, as far as I know.

I just tried going on there and buying some thing I found a nice little $10 Crossbody bag. It was only charging me for shipping and then when I went to check out, it said one or more of these items do not ship to this country. So are they in the US?
