When I was younger, I found a hatchet amongst my Dad's tools. He informed me it was a "shingling hatchet". It had a large blade on one side and a hammer head on the other with a nail removal slot on the blade. I've used it for camping ever since. He also recommended using a bow saw for cutting firewood as it usually is more efficient than a hand held hatchet. Thanks for the review!
