Mr. Litwak knows more than we thought...

  • One thing that I like that may support the idea of this theory is that when machines are being taken out, he watches as if he’s attending a funeral.

With the power outage thing - there's an official Disney storybook (called Disney Bedtime Favorites) with a Wreck-It Ralph story that's about the power going out in the arcade. All of the characters have to leave their games and congregate in Game Central Station to wait it out, but they aren't in any danger as long as they do that. I think if they're unplugged it puts them in an unconscious state. The fear of being unplugged would be either (maybe?) losing memories if they are plugged back in, or just the thought of never being plugged in again (and therefore effectively dead).

This theory is cool but also kinda creepy for some reason its like if Mr. Litwak was once in a video game. Maybe thats why he knows everything..

I agree. bro is way too kind to the machines. if he didnt know the characters were sentient, he wouldnt care about it asmuch.
  • All power strips have surge protectors because... That's what they are. Surge protector is a more technical way to refer to what most would call a power strip.
  • ‘Ralph is back’ his tone acts like he knew Ralph disappeared and thought he died
  • I think I got a more simple explanation for the whole King Candy replacing Vanaloppe thing In certain arcade games, there are timed unlockables. Which basically mean that a character will be unlocked on a specific day, and you'd be able to play as them when the day comes. Maybe he just assumed King Candy was a timed character and he replaced Vanaloppe for some reason, he probably didn't think much of it

Imagine all the players around the globe get confused when some players start talking about the character named "King Candy" Turbo probably caused them to think that he was some sort of Mandela effect lol

I don't think that unplugging the machines kills the characters in them, precisely because it is unrealistic to expect there to be no power outages for 30 years. I think when the power goes out the characters go into stasis and then come back when the machine is rebooted. When the characters say "unplugged" they mean unplugged permanently and removed from the arcade (which is how it is shown in the movie). Being put in stasis forever is basically the same as dying.
  • I think he just uses a back up generator wonders, like gonna be like a lightning storm or something that can turn off his power or does automatically just turn on the power outage
  • You’re forgetting to mention he is old and didn’t know what eBay was

Power strips themselves are surge protecters, that's their whole purpose, it protects the things that's plugged into the strip from power surges. Honestly it's really cool how they implemented the power strips actual purpose into another form of protector, security.

With the Sugar Rush King Candy thing, it does say that "New Racers Daily" so King Candy could just be assumed to be a new character, while Penelope (less believable) was removed to make space for other new characters, or they cycle her in and out.
  • My theory for why Mr. Litwak didn’t do anything about Turbo impersonating King Candy despite Vanellope being the main character is that King Candy is a part of the game Remember, Vanellope is a princess, which means her father is the king Mr. Litwak didn’t do anything because King Candy was already part of the game so he thought that everything was going on smoothly

I don't think he instantly unplugged the machines when Turbo moved games. It's just how it was edited to show the important stuff. If it was instant, Turbo wouldn't have been able to escape before the game was unplugged
  • @sarahelucey
I think the fact that Mr Litwack is willing to unplug Sugar Rush in the sequel proves that the sequel isn’t cannon. What? Did you think I was gonna say that it proves that this theory wrong? No way! I’m gonna take any opportunity I can to say that Wreck It Ralph 2 isn’t cannon!

I think the reason King Kandy was able to exist along with the disapperance of penillope is the roster of 9 character the arcade sugar rush has. He could've chopped it up to just "unlucky rotations".

I love how this theory video has wholesome music whilst a bunch of other theory videos are like "the world is doomed because this so-and-so one character knows everything"

i feel that unplugging = death was a blackmail tactic by king candy to get ralph to help him. my theory is that the game might factory reset if power is lost for a long while so king candy might get erased or turbo would need to re frick up the code
