A topic I've been asking about since getting my tech/general license a couple years ago. Thanks for the video.

Encryption has become the soup du jour in the last couple of weeks! As a new Ham in a failing nation, I couldn’t be happier 😉 I picked up the Ailunce HD2 which will be here today. If I don’t like it, I’ll try this one next. Thanks for the content as always. I will however vouch for TYT as a brand. I’ve had the 9800 quad band mobile in my truck for 2 years now and it’s awesome.
  • I am glad someone has as much contempt as I do with hams and their infatuation of hating encryption.
  • No one’s ever been banned for simply asking a question about encryption on any of the popular HAM forums. There are a plethora of threads on the subject.
  • IMMENSELY Informative & Eye Opening!! Gotta do this just for the “fun” of it if nothing else

Snagged 2, been looking at used Motorollas on ebay and nothing's come close pricewise so this seems like a good buy in to start learning. Thanks for this and the field guide video, much appreciated!
  • great video, Especially for beginners like myself thank you I’m hoping they’ll be more to come with these types of videos very educational
  • For those of us who are interested in this but aren't what would be considered literate in this thanks for doing these videos
  • We have been using the Baofeng UV-9R Pro's and DM-1701's. This is information I can use to transition to the TYT 390 units. Thank you

Well made video, I own a TYT long time ago and self-taught how to use the CPS for encryption, although I must say I learned some stuff such as the Universal tab in the encryption, well done my friend on the explanation👍
  • Just bought one of the radios and I know they're backordered but it's three or four weeks before it ships. Thanks for the content and keep it coming.

RE: Sad Hams I know how to drive well north of 130 mph - and I have a car that can - but that doesn't mean that I choose to do it everyday. I pretty much stick to the speed limit on my commute to work. Learning that self-discipline has done far more to make me a good driver than learning how to hold a corner. As a former Army Infantry RTO, I am well versed in the care and feeding of AES256 encryption keys. I can promise all the chest thumpers that this is something they WILL screw up. Guaranteed.

Please continue with this kind of information . Thank you! :)
  • Of course you posted this video a week after I painstakingly scoured the internet to learn Astro 25 CPS for the XTS series lol. It’s all good stuff though.
