Today, I’m going to show you a posture workout that can improve your posture and help eliminate pain or poor sleep associated with it. Bad posture can cause neck and back pain if you’re not careful! I’m going to share an amazing fascial stretch that can fix your posture in no time.

Fascia gives your body its shape. Focusing on proper stretches and exercise of your fascia every night can help fix bad posture!

Check out these exercises to improve posture, and try completing them before bed every night. You might be stiff when you first begin, but try to do the exercises as best you can.

After these exercises, you should feel more relaxed, and you’ll probably notice an improvement in your breathing. Your sleep, posture, and any neck or back pain should greatly improve.

I been going to physical therapy 7 years off and on. For shoulders and back pain, Make it so bad that I go to different places Well about 2 months ago I Saw a YouTube video about this same workout and within 3 weeks I am Pain free and I started taking fish oil and vitamin D3 K2 to help with my pinched nerve Thank you Doctor Berg my weight is also down 170lbs
  • I can’t even believe how much this just helped my shoulder. I constantly feel like I need to have my upper back “cracked” and I’m so tense that no one can help. Even if this doesn’t fix my posture, the pain relief alone is worth the 5 min it takes
  • Most of us that are Ex military, do not have a problem with posture. Dr. Berg, I am 67, and a friend of mine that used to tower over me by several inches is now shorter than I. He has been relatively inactive for decades and the results are shocking. Tell your people to get the hell off the couch. You do not have to run marathons, but being active is so crucial.

THANK YOU, Dr. Berg!!!! I have had night headaches almost daily for over a year!!!! I destroyed my gut with ibuprofen for the pain. I also bought a $60 pillow that did NOTHING to fix the issue. After many doctors, I figured out it was coming from my neck and upper back. I went to physical therapy, and it helped temporarily. In the last month, the terrible headaches started again. They wake me up in the middle of the night, and I feel I can't move due to the pain. I just started with a Chiropractor, and I will begin these exercises IMMEDIATELY. You are a life saver!!!

This couldn't have come at a right time for me. I just recovered from a terrible shoulder pain because of bad posture and poor diet. People often comment that my shoulders look droopy. Time to get this slouching habit fixed. Thank you!

i must say, i feel duped by the medical system because those stretches feel like WOW 🎉 and nobody has ever provided as great of help as you have just shown us now. Thanks Doc ! 😄
  • How can it be, that this video is up less than a day and yet there are many people writing: "10 years of pain and thanks to this video, no more pain" etc.? Bots? Bought comments? This is very fishy.

That looks helpful, man! 👊 Great day, everyone! 🙂
  • More on this topic please doc. This is a topic that can't be overkilled.
  • Thank you. I will suggest this to my wife because she is a veterinarian and she is always leaning over the table during examinations and surgeries and I'm noticing that as she's now hitting her mid-40s, she's starting to slouch a little bit. I tried to remind her to straighten up but she's been doing it since 2003 so it was eventually going to start happening. Hopefully this will help her straighten up and I will be using it too since I do a lot of work at the computer.
  • I'm 59 years old and have been hunched over my computer for 17 yrs. Now I have a Dowager's Hump. I tried the YTWL motions but it was causing me extreme pain and discomfort each time. This looks more feasible and practical to me. Thank you, Dr. Berg!!

Thanks for the exercise tip. Here's something you may not know because you don't wear bifocals. Bifocals can also give you major neck strain. Bifocals are designed and meant for reading books, not computer screens. This places the bifocal lens at the lower part of the glasses. When one is attempting to read the computer screen with one's bifocal lens, one tilts one's head backwards to bring the bifocal lens higher and into one's view range. This tilting of the head back puts the neck in an unnatural state for an extended period of time and as a result tensions the neck muscle causing strain. Using the bifocal lens to read the computer monitor can also lead to eye strain as one must maintain an unnatural position of the head and over a period of time one will struggle to maintain that position and invariably, rather than looking through the regular lens or the bifocal, one will be looking through that small part that lies between the normal lens and the bifocal lens. Consistently viewing through that small portion as one struggles to maintain the head position, strains the eyes. If the computer monitor can be arranged so that it is laying flat such as when reading a book, then the bifocals will work just fine without causing strain, otherwise a separate pair of reading glasses is necessary to alleviate the stress.

This is so timely and helpful, Dr Berg. I've been waiting for this! These are amazing exercises, the last one (The Matrix) reminds me of Tai Chi and I'd love more on this topic for future videos, please. You're a wonderful health professional. Thank you 🙏🏻💯
  • @dishavz
Thanks a ton Dr.Berg for the video 😊, can you please also share the stretching exercises for the whole body especially for lower back and more such videos on this topic. Thank you 🙏🏼
  • An absolute treasure!!! Great things you are doing FOR EARTH!!!!!
  • I love walking tall, shoulders back looking tall and proud of me because I am. My posture is always excellent. Thanks Mom!
  • @jimsiggy
I've been having issues with my levator always feeling fatigued. My chiropractor has not shown me these exercises, I am definitely going to incorporate these, thanks!
  • @WyndolB
I am grateful for this video. I have Ankylosing Spondylitis and I am recovering from ACDF surgery, I am SAVING this video because I need to improve my posture. Wearing a hard collar is forcing my to keep my head up and not forward... These stretches once I am back in PT will be beneficial. Blessing to you and your staff.
  • I think the real important part is having good posture while ur spine is developing.. If you try after that, it’s a hard battle. Mum always told me to straighten my back up ( I was shy and like 6ft3 ) it’s worth it at any age to, but get kids to do it while growing💜
