Kmart Closing & Going Out Of Business In Hermitage, PA. I made a trip here in February and never had the opportunity to upload the video. Being that I revisited the store this week, I filmed it again and put the footage from both trips in this video to show you how it changed in 3 weeks time. Enjoy.

  • after this round of closings, there will only be 368 Kmarts left, down from 2,171 in 2000. Congratulations Eddie!
  • I'm amazed at just how fast that store got emptied out. Pretty cool old store indeed. And you're right, Eddie just don't give a shit. Cool video update!
  • There's also an abandoned Brusters ice cream place here in Hermitage,Pennsylvania is closed on September 29th, 2019. It was opened for 30 years.

sad to see but thank you for documenting these. keep up your good work

Definitely looks like a 90's store. It has recessed lights. IIRC most 80's stores have basic (non-recessed) tube lighting and circular vents.

Wow this looks exactly like the old Kmart in my home town of Martinsville Virginia the exact same lay out brought back memories it was also built in the 80s.
  • Kmart could make a comeback if they really wanted to. They need to use what little they have at this point to reinvent themselves.

this is one of the only locations you did that the store looked like this it kind of reminds me of that one youtuber did the one in Raleigh North Carolina well kind of, sad this Kmart is gone now.

I remembered when that K Mart was built. It was in the 90s when it was built. The whole plaza was rebuilt at that time. By the way, that Cleveland browns stuff was still there on its last Friday.

😂 the Cleveland Browns lol! All the K-Marts in IL are closing except for ONE. ONE STORE! The one left is totally vintage and super cool! I love it! If that one does get slated to close (thanks Eddie you a-hole), IL will have no Kmarts left and only a handful of Sears. That’s it. The one at Woodfield mall was the first one in this area and is still popular, but not as popular as it was before. If they close that, the mall will loose an important anchor store! If you are ever out this way, you have to check out the Sears and Kmart especially!
  • Reminds me of when Dominick’s went out of business (their parent company, Safeway, was actually bought out by Jewel-Osco), or when the Walmart by me closed (the lease ran out, and the village I live in wouldn’t give them a big enough tax break, so it just closed).

Happy to see that you combined two videos for this Kmart from February and more recent. Sad to see it go and ashame you could not get the Movies and Video sign for your friend. Appreciate you still do the Fitting room selfies... need the laugh. As for Evil Eddie... when Kmart and Sears are gone he'll try to weasel his way into another shaky retailer and gut it. You say it well bud about him. YOU could run a company better than Evil Eddie because you would put the employees and customers first. Do that the profits will come. . I was not that surprised he's behind the liquidators. All about the $$$ forget about the loyal employees. VIdeos by you and Nate and Ace really make my day. Look forward to what you have in store next Wallie
