Something is happening to the girl… but she looked so normal just a second before…

Is it something serious? How should we act? Call for emergency services before things get out of hand.

This is exactly how my asthma attacks have been, minus the falling over and barely being able to breathe. My breathing is definitely impeded, but thankfully it doesn't get to this level. Mine are just as sudden.
  • It's nice when people are willing to help and very much appreciated. We usually try not to let it get to a bad point, but sometimes, due to usually weather problems or allergens it happens. Please try not to crowd the asthma patient or ask them a bunch of questions. We don't have the breath to answer you. Please don't start yelling at us either. We know you're scared. Thank you in advance!

never leave your inhaler. i went to the hotel pool that day. the water was so cold. plus it was so windy. then it attacked me. i tot it was mild. then i started gasping for air. i walk as fast as i can to get my inhaler in my room. it was like 100 km away in that condition. i nearly fainted. lesson learned.

My asthma has always been rather mild, and I haven’t needed my inhalers in years! But over the last few days me and my partner caught a cold, over a couple of days I started to notice it was slightly harder to breath.. but didn’t think anything of it and I don’t normally carry my inhalers as I don’t need them hardly ever! But last night I genuinely felt like I could not breath and was up all night, and then today it got so bad I called 111 and ended up in the doctors white as a sheet and feeling like I was suffocating, thankfully he had an inhaler right there and told me if my symptoms got any worse again to go straight to the hospital, ventolin is an absolute godsend

I have been diagnosed with asthma for a couple of months, I can feel her pain while watching this video.
  • I have had an asthma attack a couple of years ago, ABSOLUTE PANIC. YOU CANNOT BREATHE! As if someone held your head under water, I thought my heart was going to stop. Never felt such sensation before. Currently, with acute bronchitis, thanks God for Ventolin.

I understand that feeling completely, it’s hell.

I used to have it as a kid, cold weather and exercises were a nightmare. It's gone now but probably will come back when I get old

This is little much haha. We usually feel the attack building up. Then I immediately stop working out and sit on the ground outside to focus on my breathing. Also I take a puff from the puff thing. Btw it’s terrible if people are gathering around you when having an attack, give us some space and keep an eye on us and we’ll be fine:)

I had a severe asthma attack last night just before I was going to sleep all of a sudden I became very confused and felt like something was squeezing the life out of me I didn't go to casualty I took my inhalers and eventually I began to feel better I've never felt so scared in my whole life I'm going to sleep sitting up in a chare tonight as I'm now anxious about falling asleep I've got an asthma review with my nurse soon please take care of yourself if you suffer from this dreadful condition and remember to take your inhalers exactly the same way as instructed.i thought I was ok not taking it so often I do now this has shook the hell out of me xxxx

OMG this is exactly how my asthma attacks are every few months or so. I actually went into cardiac arrest once. As far as pain, my chest feels more like discomfort (more dull pain) than true, make you wince, pain.
  • @eca054

Almost got me last Monday. I didn't know my airway had tightened and food got stuck and completely blocked my airway. I would have choked to death had someone not seen me struggling and rushed to help. Ended up in the hospital and found out I randomly developed severe asthma.
  • I'm having a asthma attack while I type this. My chest feels tight, my throat feels clear of obstruction, but I'm still having trouble breathing properly. It's scary as hell and I feel like I'm dying. I know I'm not, but it's just scary. I hope this is helpful to anyone reading this. It's scary, you're not dying, you're okay, and it's only temporary. It's all mental, get somewhere where you're comfortable, and get with someone you feel comfortable with, and just Relax. You're okay... Just Relax...
