Little known fact: When Ray Guy, the Hall of Fame punter for the Oakland Raiders, first came into the league, Houston Oilers coach Bum Phillips was convinced that Guy had filled the footballs with helium. Phillips couldn't believe that someone could kick a football so high and with such incredible hang times. He had the footballs collected and sent to Rice University in Houston for testing, where it was determined that the footballs were filled with plain air!
